I’m going to be royally pissed if Dubas doesn’t at least trade 2-3 vets off this team lol
I think we'll see something happening on Monday, but definitely Wednesday and Thursday, since we don't play on any of those games. It's silly to get upset about the Penguins not trading Grzelcyk and Beauvillier yet when the deadline isn't for another week.
Lindgren has 'grit'. Teams pay for grit, for the playoffs.I'm not going to argue that Lindgren isn't bad, but I think people have become a bit too analytics obsessed with ignoring the context of those analytics. Lindgren is likely playing in way too high of a role on a complete dumpster fire of a team. Going from being the DFD partner for Fox on a team with terrible analytics (even before this year, the Rangers were a bad team analytically that was just bailed out by Shesterkin) to a 3rd pair role that will sub into the top-4 in case of an injury should really help him.
The Avs won a cup with JJ as their regular 3rd pair LD. I don't see Lindgren as worse than that.
Per day til the deadline.I’m going to be royally pissed if Dubas doesn’t at least trade 2-3 vets off this team lol
Dubas supposedly hates retaining on deals but he would be insane not to if he could get that type of return for EK by retaining a littleThat price for Jones should spur Dubas into gear. A bit of retention would potentially lead to a very nice package for Karlsson.
I think you could get a 3rd for Beauviller after this trade. Nyquist has 9 goals and 21 points to Beauvillier’s 12 goals and 19 points.
Wow.
well that was quick
So far it's been a seller market. I think he moves at least two vets by Friday's deadeline.I’m going to be royally pissed if Dubas doesn’t at least trade 2-3 vets off this team lol
I feel it makes are position better.I love the Jones deal. Takes an option away from Dallas and establishes a high return. And before anyone says “there are also fewer teams in the mix for Karlsson” - so what? The Pens don’t have to trade him right now. Dallas is the team with the time crunch, not the Pens.
While funny, I would bet the guys Dubas wants to trade are "Plan B" for a lot of teams. So if he doesn't trade someone like Beauvillier, I would imagine it's because the two or maybe three teams "interested" made other trades.Dubas is going to wait until everyone who wants players in particular positions have already traded for them and no one is interested in our junk lol
Especially with a team in the west. That price for Jones should spur Dubas into gear. A bit of retention would potentially lead to a very nice package for Karlsson.
Hopefully, Gryz doesn't play again (he will cause Sully's a f***ing asshole). That injury scare last week could have been catastrophic. With only 2 games left until the deadline and no chance of making the playoffs do we start seeing Penguins held out of the lineup for trade related reasons?
