I honestly think the biggest reason that Sullivan didn't like Puljujarvi is he can't pk.It sure looked like Sullivan did not want Puljujarvi to have success, taking any excuse to make his role smaller and smaller, all the way down to AHL. When he played well he was never rewarded with more ice-time or better linemates, and when he played mediocre he was always punished hard. He was not from Boston.
But it's a stupid reason not to like him because with his speed and his stick reach he could have been trained to be a good pker and probably even someone who would be dangerous shorthanded with his speed. The Pens never tried to develop him that way and thus wasted him as a player.
