Agreed. If they aren't close to the cap sitting on the contract makes more sense. If they are jammed up on cap space in 2026 buy him out then.

I think you buy Jarry out after the year because you don't want to risk him being a malcontent in WBS and poisoning young players against the organization. You're better off going with someone like Larsson as your AHL starter/NHL call-up than Jarry.

Dan did. It’s one smarter moves made! Give team a player with an edge. You need at least one guys and he’s not blocking anyone. Just a forth line role guy that team needed for awhile. I’m sure boys all like knowing he’s dressed in case something is needed to be done. No one else on team has any edge or balls!

To be honest even if you plug Mitch Marner into that lineup I'm still not sure it's a playoff team lol. That defense just stinks and you're asking a lot out of a young bottom six.
