Almost anyone being stuck in the AHL while Brown and Beecher get to play in the NHL isn’t the least bit fair.
They aren’t trying to win games. They are leaving the kids in providence. Giving lysell a good long no pressure look and trying to get a good draft pick. Let’s all hope they win the lottery and pick Misa or Shafeale.

You said it " kids skating needs work".....I do not want to take any player in the top 10 that is not an NHL skater and has skill.
Skating is probably the most important criteria when evaluating talent.
We need skilled/fast forwards.
I agree but there are exceptions. Pastrnak’s skating STILL needs work to this day. If he were a better skater he’d be more dominant than he currently is.

With Crosby soon to retire I wouldn’t be shocked if Pittsburgh somehow “wins” the lottery and picks 1st overall

With the Bruins currently slotted at the 8th overall they might have a shot at Roger McQueen if the lottery gods don’t cut them a break. I think there’s a good chance McQueen slips down to that 8-11 range. His injuries the past 2 years may scare a few teams off. Kid is large at 6’5” and tons of skill. Skating needs some work.
I would pass on McQueen, not just because of the injuries, but his skating is below average and he gets by in junior due to his size and skill for that level. We already have a big guy that is a project in Letourneau, I would go for someone in that range like Frondell, Desnoyers , O'Brien or the winger Carbonneau.

Let’s say the Bruins end up with #8 and McQueen and O’Brien are both in the board. Do you go with the riskier, older, and often injured pick in McQueen, or do you bring O’Brien to Boston and not look back? Seperately, what do you think Sweeney would do?

Either way, there is plenty to skewer the front office on with that decision.

Probably snags the first guy who's local even if he's ranked 49th

Too soon to assume Letourneau busts although very disappointing season. Maybe McQueen turns into Joe Colborne. He will definitely fall because of those injuries

2 reasons. One, hearing about back problems for a tall, lanky 18 year old hockey player is extremely concerning. Back issues affect basically ever aspect of your game.

The other reason? Assuming the Bruins are picking in the Top 10 (if not Top 5), they cannot, cannot, cannot afford to get this pick wrong. Right here, right now, this franchise cannot afford another Lars Jonsson or Zach Hamill style blunder with a pick this high. So reason one, back issues, might be exactly what derails this pick from panning out to produce a quality hockey player for the Bruins. If this was a team bursting at the seems with quality prospects, a team who has picked high numerous years, you could gamble on a Roger McQueen.

The Bruins just aren't that franchise at this point in time.

Could somebody teach Lohrei how to deal in the defence? This guy is a disaster in the own end. Sure he can move the puck and be a above average PP QB, but not skilled enough to do what d-man should do. Minus freaking 30.....Team sucks, but still not like Blackhawks sucks.

Also waive those so called prospects. Beecher, Lysell, Khusnutdinov, Merkulov etc. You got lottery tickets, with no win this time.

This team starts to remind worst of Claude Julien era, where the whole team was just full of third or fourth liners.
I hope it was closing time in Helsinki right before you posted this.

For our 2nd round picks, I’m curious who we could add onto one of the positions to get high enough to grab Carter Amico. Simon wang would be a fun flyer if he falls that low.

Big question I’m looking at is Nathan Behm. Anybody know why he isn’t projected higher? He’s someone that I would try to grab in the second round, and would also explore adding onto one of our picks to make it happen.

If the Bruins don’t get any ping pong luck, I’d like to see them moved, to go up and draft Misa or Schaefer who’s ever there at 2

When is the last time anyone moved up for a top five pick much less top two? The cost of doing that is prohibitive. It’s not the NFL.
I do wonder what a realistic number is though. I know top 5 is probably not happening. Senses tell me 8-9. But the way these guys are playing makes me wonder if it'll be maybe a smidge higher. Food for thought I suppose.

Maybe if you are willing to Surrender the 2026 first you can get to Hagens. I don't think Just #8 and 3 #2s is enough to get to #4, but the 2026 1 would be, especially if a team sees him in the second tier rather than first

Gotta keep that '26 1st rounder. If DS is still here by the deadline next year and this team is even sniffing a playoff spot, he's gonna trade it. Hopefully he doesn't trade it this off season. Man I am just depressing myself the more I keep typing.
