I’ll say this. Sweeney sure did gut the team to tank hard at the end of the year here really well. Think he deserves credit for ripping the bandaid, which many of us were not sure he would/could do.

I loved getting rid of the horrible leadership. He also knows he's safe regardless what he does.I’ll say this. Sweeney sure did gut the team to tank hard at the end of the year here really well. Think he deserves credit for ripping the bandaid, which many of us were not sure he would/could do.
This current roster is certainly that of a prolific loser, he did a great job being Tank CommanderI’ll say this. Sweeney sure did gut the team to tank hard at the end of the year here really well. Think he deserves credit for ripping the bandaid, which many of us were not sure he would/could do.

Top 5 easyMy question is who does he play with?
Would his speed work better with Mittelstadt? I assume he will play RW. Would adding Khusnutdinov on the left provide will too much speed and not enough defensive play? I think this is how they should go. The reason for the call up was that Fabian is playing a better 200 foot game. Let’s see it with other players who have engines that fly like his.
Geekie - Zacha - Pasta
Khusnutdinov - Mittelstadt - Lysell
Koepke - Lindholm - Lettieri
Lauko - Kastelic - Brown
Beecher
Looking at this lineup - it has to be good for a top 10 pick.
Geez…
Stop being so spoiled. Getting past round two once in a decade is cause for celebration. Losing to teams in the play-offs you are posed to lose to is cause for celebration. Losing to teams in the play-offs you are posed to beat is also cause for celebration. If anything he should be fired. Decade with the team, only won multiple playoff series in a season once. Now a bottom feeder due to extremely poor asset management
Chiarelli was fired for much less and in a shorter tenure. Chiarelli took over a much worse team, had more playoff success and his final year the team set a record for most points by a team to not make the playoffs.
If that’s the standard for getting fired Sweeney should be out.
I would rather sign a bunch of 1 year guys that I could flip next deadline for more assets.

Sweeney did a good job here. His teams haven't done anything in five years and is now an albatross Time to go, shake hands and get a new guy/gal. Let someone from the outside assess the organization and players and make decisions. Nothing personal, just business
A good rival GM definitely trys to drive price upKnies would be a good add...Toronto would likely match but it would screw over them resigning Taveres and/or Marner
Agreed, but who is the good GM, you are suggesting.A good rival GM definitely trys to drive price up
Not even sure if Lindholm can make it back and if he does, will there be a drop off. It's one of those things where you hear the names and you remember liking them in the draft year and stuff, but Mittelstedt 5v5 is just awful. Joker is a non factor. Like Marat as a bottom 6.
They really have a lot of work to do, it's not as simple as Lindholm and McAvoy coming back.
100%There is no being spoiled as a bruins fan. One Stanley cup in 50 years. It’s closer to a statistical anomaly actually considering how many teams are in the league.
Going a decade of only winning multiple playoff series once is not “a cause for celebration” by any means.

I am with you on Lindholm, I have had the same thoughts when I, rad he will be back, not a guarantee, and I hope so, I have a higher opinion of him than many on this sightNot even sure if Lindholm can make it back and if he does, will there be a drop off.
Patrick Brown and Lettieri on waivers. Making room for college free agent(s)?
Not against any of this but just spotlights what a shit show this all is.Callahan and Lysell were also sent down today too, no? They must be giving some other people in Providence some looks.
Who decides who's up and down in Providence? Is it a collaborative decision from management or is it just Don?Not against any of this but just spotlights what a shit show this all is.

I am sure Don has final say, but I say there are others who have input.Who decides who's up and down in Providence? Is it a collaborative decision from management or is it just Don?
Just like Sweeney had input before he became GM!I am sure Don has final say, but I say there are others who have input.
Kastelic returning as well maybe? Or has he been shut down for the year?Callahan and Lysell were also sent down today too, no? They must be giving some other people in Providence some looks.
