Boston Bruins 24-25 Roster/Cap thread XX

  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

In the meantime, feel free to join our Discord Server
You’re trying to tell me you wouldn’t include a first in a deal for a young signed top line center that has scored more than 100 points?
The one that has 15 goals this year and pacing for about 55 points maybe? Yea I’m not including it

NO! Simon and Garfunkle........
I saw a lot of concerts but never saw Paul Simon ~ I was pretty young when he and Art grew up

I saw the Graduate but Sound of Silence & Mrs Robinson

My favorite Simon song as a kid was Kodocrome

The first few months of SNL Simon hosted and had Garfunkel come out and join him but don’t remember remember songs

Shhhh, we are pretending that didn’t happen. If that’s what it was then we may need to hold the GM responsible

I mean what made this team good is Pasta (played thru it in the first half), having two #1D (one got hurt) and elite goaltending (busted). That was supposed to be complemented by adding a top 6C in Lindholm (busted) and getting Coyle back to 3C (sucked all year) while introducing youth (Poitras disappointed and Lorhei is a minus a billion despite showing flashes). The optimism was warranted but it was like bizzaro 22-23 when everything went right all regular season and everything went wrong.

Wonder how people on here have no idea what Kodachrome even is...
I'm sure Wally does

Yet to profess to know so much about the Bruins pre Simon and Garfunkel.

I’m with you

A bridge connects two land masses

The Tobin bridge was built in 1948 and is two miles long and connects Saugus to Boston

2023-24 connects 2022-23 to 2024-25

I apologize last season was a bridge and Don Sweeney needs to acknowledge this
I recently watched a movie here in Australia about terrorists on the old Tobin bridge. The whole movie was filmed on the bridge. Of course a local young guy from Boston defeated the bad guys and saved the day, except for the middle of the bridge blown up and dropped into the harbor.

Really surprised me to see a slice of home like that.

The only UFA I go big on this summer is Marner, if he makes it to free agency. Throw all your cards on the table $13-13.5M. If it isn't accepted move on.

Would rather see who's available through trades and see which RFA's are let go then to through a big contract at Ehlers(who I like, but wouldn't want to hand a huge contract to) The UFA crop isn't great this year, I'm good with another down year next season, get another good pick and try to add in 2026.

Top 2 you take Misa, top 4 Martone after that best available center. Hope you wind up in the top 8.

It's a Longshot but look how much St. Louis improved using offer sheets. I would sacrifice 1st rounders for RFAs that are young and fill a need. With all the additional cap space available this summer it would be tough to put an offer together that won't get matched but I still think offer sheets are a better way forward than Sweeneys drafting.

Buddy, he’s averaged ~pp/g every year or better.....
Where are you getting your stats from ???? He's averaged a pp/g only twice in his 6 full seasons and he's sure not going to do it again this season.

You want him on the Bruins - great. I do not - especially with that high cap hit for the next 7 seasons.

I go back to Mrs Robinson and Esposito from Chicago trade but my folks had tickets since the early 50’s

Hope that helps my time frame

First concert was Beach Boys & John Sebastian (love’n & Spoonful)

First game was afternoon game 1966 v Rangers

I’m an exceptional athlete atleast I’m told but my God father & mothers bro was drafted in 1948 out of Colgate by the Celtics and my father went with GB (Curley Lambeau) after Florida Gators & WW2

I find it interesting you dog me here because in real life I would be your idol

In one of the skits, Paul Simon didn't recognize Garfunkel.

Sound of Silence one of the best songs ever.

So when Bettman rigs it and gives us 1OA, what do we ask Chicago/San Jose for to trade to #2 and let them have Schaefer? Their defenses both look like 💩

Actually, if Bettman is rigging it, it seems like he would want to rig it for the Bruins. Rigging it would be all about the money and a good Bruins team is a money spinner for the league. Much better than San Jose getting another 1OA, for example. Chicago is O6, sure, but the Bruins have a larger fanbase across North America.
