jeff marek mentioned lohrei specifically the other day and said something along the lines of
"if the bruins offered up mason lohrei the return would be pretty huge". i thought it was curious
that he mentioned him, and assume it means he's heard his name out there.

And it still might be a mistake to move him, but it boils down to what is pretty huge. I tend to think he will be a 50-60 point defenseman possibly as early as next year, so i would need a ton , and not draft picks.

And why does Marner sign with a team that isn't competitive. It's not like there wont be 7-8 teams with MORE cap space available than Boston Obviously Bruins pick might be high enough that they might help in 2 seasons.

Now maybe Boton decides they want to go 2-3 million above Pasta with a Marner contract, and outbid everyone else in the league. It is possible I guess. But the only way boston becomes the most attractive bidder is if they are the highest bidder

With that cap space your gonna get something special even if it's not marner.

Before you tell me 'well who's going to play with Pastrnak?' I'd respond with 'well, so far no one this year so why not make it official.'

This team is David Pastrnak right now. We are the Early Ovechkin Capitals now.

Did I read this correctly that 1st round pick Dean Letourneau has 0 goals and 3 assists in 32 games for Boston College?

As a matter of fact, it is unlikely they will get canned.

In the event, I am interested to see what they do going forward.

I can skip the Predators game, as I did last night, without knowing the score or outcome at present.

I watched perhaps 5 minutes total, and I could not care less.

That is my level of enthusiasm for the 2024-2025 Boston Bruins.

I wish I had a magic wand.

Alas and alack, I do not.

Then again I listen on Sway and McAvoy. This doesn't mean I trade them, but you always listen

I would not trade Mason or Matthew.
 
Guys and gals the more I think about our current state of the Bruins organization the more I feel for most of us 2011 was our last chance to see a cup . It took over 40 years in between the last win and now it's been 14 years since. 2019 was our golden ticket to get one more because of the easy trail it was to get to final when heavyweight Tampa got knocked out by Columbus. Blowing game 7 at home makes it more depressing the more I think about our current state. I'm a optimist always but also a realist. It's kinda interesting to tank and hope were gonna nab the next Bergeron and next krejci and bingo were back but to get legends like that is pure lottery luck. Possible but not probable. I will cheer on my team no matter what and I love going back and forth with you all wonderful people each day but winning a cup is no small task and at the moment I'm looking at my picture with tyler seguin with cup and my son right beside him and how lucky I was to have this picture in my house. Ask leaf fans buffalo or even Vancouver fans what it means to be in a serious drought. Let's hope we nab one more before the lights turn out and we all celebrate together at the parade with me holding a bag of jalapeno doritos cheering. Let's go with the tankathon and get a serious piece to get that elusive silvery mug.😃

If you are talking about trading Carlo and Geekie (their 2nd best offensive player this year), you are talking about being worse next year than this year. Why would a 29 year old player choose to go to a noncompetitive team? You'll end up getting free agents like NAS got this year:

Older, more expensive and past their prime.

If you are dealing away 2 under 30 players like Carlo and Geekie for picks, you are saying you aren't going to be competitive for 3 or 4 years. That's fine if that's the plan. But you can't trade decent, youngish roster pieces off and then reload in 1 offseason.

It shouldn't go unnoticed that the New Jersey Devils helped grease the wheels of the Freddy trade...still think Brad would make an excellent Devil and they have a lot of young talent....my guess is they are a serious contender for his services should they become available. Brad gets a playoff run and gets to stay close to his family.

Move Coyle. His $$ next year is more valuable towards a goal scorer UFA than to a 5.25M 3rd line center.

If its my team next year I'm trying to put this squad together.

Rantanan - Zacha - Pasta
Geekie - PAWTWAH - Duchene
Marchand - Lindholm - Lysell
Viel - Beecher - Kastelic

Lindholm - CMAC
Zadarov - Savard
Lohrei - Peeke

Let Lysell learn next to Marchand and a very responsible defensively Elias.
Move Coyle and Carlo ASAP. Move Korpisalo anywhere, even retain slightly.
