Boston Bruins 24-25 Roster/Cap thread XV

I think you missed the point a little bit, Crouse is a start to fill out this roster with someone who can help this team, is he the big fish that you know, but a 20 goal scorer with everything I mentioned is a start to putting a team together, I am tired of watching the Brazeau, Tyler Johnson , and other pick up. The big fish you want and need is probably unlikely until offseason, and a Crouse contract give you more room to go get that big fish.

Lawson Crouse 8-4-12 -11 in 54 games

Justin Brazeau 10-10-20 -5 in 53 games

And Brazeau is younger than Crouse

But I guess with the likes of Oliver Wahlstrom and Johnny Beecher forcing Brazeau out of the lineup, those numbers can't be significant.

That's true, and I agree they're both top6 guys. He was asking about the guys that could be ready in a year.

O'Brien could be as good as some of those guys but he looks like he has to grow into his body.

Bear should have been on that list. Bear could be probably be had outside the top10.

You are right, I just wanted to mention them too because it underlines that it wouldn´t really be stupid to prefer a little retool and drafting in the top 10 over barely making the playoffs with the dysfunctional team they are.

And Crouse had 3 straight years of actually producing over 20 goals before this year, and has been a hitting machine for much of his career ; although he has slowed that somewhat over the years.

you know better than that, Crouse has had 3- 20goal season, Brazeau hasnt reached 20 goals in his career, and no way is he a better player than Crouse, nice story but it is time to close that book.

Bruins are not going to land any young centers this season. We do not have the player/s to make those kind of deals.

We need to start stock piling first second third round picks, NOT other teams almost good centers.

Sell what we can to the highest bidders for picks, then use them as capital in fixture trades if and when we have abundance of them.

Carlo ,Freddy, Captain clown shoes are the guys I would send packing. I would waste the time or efforts in players like Coyle and would just waive him and rid ourselves of that 5.5m next season.

If Geekie thinks he's more than the Pasta effect and wants to cash in get rid of him as well. Swayman has been a disaster all season, that's a tough one as II see no way out of that deal but if some team comes calling you move him.

New coaching staff new players maybe a new president and lets set sail for a new future.

There is about 6 guys on this roster that can be waived so lets do it and bring up the AHL boys to give them a head start for next season.

Is Sweeney fired yet..I don't want any more moves done with this dummy in charge of it.He destroyed this franchise .Keep him around the hole will get deeper.
I expect Sweeney to come out of hibernation at some point near the end of the four nations tournament and say something along the following:
Hampus Lindholm will be returning to our lineup after missing a significant portion of our season. His presence will be like acquiring a player in a trade. We want to see how having him in the lineup will help stabilize our defensive pairings. The team has stayed within the playoff mix during his absence. We will continue to evaluate our team's performance over the next few weeks. Depending on how we perform we may make a few additional moves as we get closer to the trade deadline March 7th. That's all for now.

A learning curve at this level is to be expected. And let's not forget the puck he took to the face which is probably effecting his physical play to some degree.
Even at that he's a better defenseman than Mason is already

I just hope he scores a goal this season. 19 years old in a couple weeks.
He will be fine, He was gettin high marks for his coach.

Not getting much ice time with the stacked roster.

Sounds like the same type of excuses that were made for Zach Senyshyn when he was drafted.

Teddy Stiga is slightly younger than Letourneau, also a 1st year NCAA player who was drafted last year in the 2nd round and he's 4th in team scoring at BC.

I'm not saying Letourneau is a bust but I don't see how him having zero goals and just 2 points isn't cause for concern, even if he's getting 4th line minutes at BC.

You could end up being 100% correct but I'm willing to bet we see a big jump next season.

Hopefully Letourneau becomes a player. Great size and good two game. Lacks explosiveness in his first stride but he’s only 18.
He will, he's in a way more higher caliber this year, 2 big steps and his first NCAA year it's to see how he's learning, how he response from coaching advises etc...It seems like coaching staff and management are happy with how he's learning...big project will be a beast!

Back in 2005-06, the Bruins young center and captain had been negotiating a new deal. Management wasn’t happy. They ended up trading their franchise player for 3 nickels. Management got their way.

Now we have this franchise goalie who management is upset with… I say if there is to be a game changing trade - it involves this kid.

Would you like or dislike a Swayman + Merkulov for Gibson + Zegras trade?
I would be fine with it.

You forgot "I like our group' and "trades are hard".
