Does anyone really care?

Whenever the NHL/NHLPA tries to do an into tourney it seems to fall flat. No Czech, No Slovakia, no Germany, Switzerland, Austria, and Latvia is Lame. Not to mention lack of Russian participation

Would rather the NHL work with the IIHF to build up the world championships which is a super interesting tournament with diverse squads than watch some fake ass 4 nations

Things I don't understand:

1) Why people make threads about or spend time talking about things they reportedly "don't care" about. True apathy would be not discussing it. I spend 0% of my time discussing things I'm completely apathetic about much less creating threads about them.

2) Why hockey fans don't want to watch hockey games with McDavid, Crosby, Mackinnon, vs Matthews, Hughs, Tkachuk and co. Will it have playoff or Olympic intensity? No. But surely it will be more than your average all-star game. If the games are on and you're a hockey fan, how can you not want to watch? Seems petty.

3) The poster above me calling this an "insulting gimmick." If you feel personally insulted by a hockey tournament, seek help.

Canada, USA, and Sweden are not "fake" nations, they absolutely exist.

Finland, however, is questionable.

I'll say it, this is borderline exhibition hockey to me. The 2026 Olympics will be a blast. I can't wait. I don't like the idea of Russia not playing in it as it takes away what could be such great hockey, and it penalizes a lot of players that have nothing to do with anything going on in the world. Too many great players in the NHL on Russia not being able to showcase their talent or play for their country either in the 4 Nations in 2025 or possibly even the Olympics. Not good. So that alone makes it less competitive for me and I for one have never liked boycotting and not allowing a...
