Sure they can go for him but I don’t see Carolina F’n this up and the Bruins can’t negotiate till July 1 and logic says he’s been signed. I can see minimum 8/100

He gets to play with his guy Aho

Im the Bruins GM I’m watching Necas and using Pastrnak to recruit him

He’s my big fish and gives me a projectible goal a more a game out of my top two RW
I wanted the Bruins to go hard after Necas last year when his name was out there. He was an absolute stud at WJ , world class talent, would love him here in Boston, but not to sure Colorado going to be in a hurry to let him hit free-agency in 2 years, but if does, I think the Bruins would have a good shot, but thats some time away, hockey wise anyways.lol

I’d rather play in Sunrise or Tampa with Sun, no state taxes, or guys like @quietbruinfan ripping me for being selfish & soft (probably true but I wouldn’t want to hear it)
Necas still has another year on his contract after this season.

I agree as long as the value back is of a major need, im just not trading him to shed his salary,IMO one of the top goalies in the league.
You shred that salary you have cap space to go shopping trade or FA, take what you can get, to get rid of that salary, and Idon't mean get snookered.

A live look at Sweeney as he bounces back-and-forth on the two open tabs on his laptop.

One tab is opened to Puckpedia, and the Bruins salary cap breakdown.

The other tab, Canada‘s depth chart for the four nations.

Marchand signed his contract a while back, but he still should fire his agent for not getting what every general manager now hands out like Candy

No-Trade Clauses

  • Brandon Carlo (10-team no-trade list)
  • Joonas Korpisalo (10-team no-trade list)
  • Brad Marchand (8-team no-trade list)
  • Pavel Zacha (10-team no-trade list)

No-Movement Clauses

  • Charlie Coyle (8-team no-trade list)
  • Elias Lindholm
  • Hampus Lindholm
  • Charlie McAvoy
  • David Pastrnak
  • Nikita Zadorov

If they lose today I’m thinking Sweeney at minimum makes a public appearance.

Get some youth in the system, in the age 25ish range who’ve maybe fallen out of favor with their team.

Marchand rental, then returns July 1st would be great. He lands a 1st ++

He's in the last year of his deal - Carlo has a 3 team NTC in his last year, Zacha's got 8 in his, Pastrnak and McAvoy have 10 in theirs.

Every game, every loss we all think “ Ok this is the day we see changes of some sort. There has to be a move now.
It would be nice to see some of the kids up. Give me a reason to watch... but I don't think there's going to be one loss that suddenly bursts a dam of trades. They've decided what they're doing. They have a plan. Now it's just about timing and cap space.

There's a reason most in-season deals happen on deadline day, it's when teams have the most cap flexibility. For example, there will be more teams who can buy a Charlie Coyle on March 7 than on January 31st.

Does anyone really have any confidence in this management group to start rebuilding? They ned to fire everyone and start over. Keep the chef, stick guy and the goalie coach, everyone else needs to be unemployed after overseeing and constructing this roster. All set with giving hand grenades to children .

Jake O'Brien is another interesting center prospect. Late birthday. Was already a ppg player in the OHL at 16 years of age. Right now seems to be ranked mostly a little bit outside of the top ten. McKenzie has him at #9.
I watched video on him last night and really liked his game. More than some of the guys rated higher than him.

For me it's always "compared to what?"

I have no problem if they want to go in another direction, but I want to know what direction first. Looking around the league there's plenty worse out there.

Not to many 32 teams and the Bruins are on pace to be in the bottom 15 and if they dont chose another direction, they'll be even less.

Ok, most deals are done on deadline day. Colorado has already traded both goalies and made the blockbuster rantanen-necas deal. Rangers have made numerous trades so far. Teams that are drastically underperforming and their GMs acted. The frustration is that Sweeney just sits and wastes the season, they couldn’t afford to wait until deadline day. The team has been bad for most of the season.

And as you mentioned, if you’re just giving up on the season as they appear to be then why waste time with Patrick Brown or Vinni Lettieri? Nothing they are doing makes any sense, just rolling out the same lineup game after game and not giving the Merkulovs or Lysells a chance. If not now, when? Just a frustrating time to be a fan.

Seeing the results of their talent acquisition and decision making processes over the last few years doesn’t give me much confidence that I want them around to start the different direction conversation. Cant have different direction with the same people in charge. That organization needs a full and complete enema from the top down.

he can’t be the one to try and turn this around. i’m hoping they are waiting until this tournament is over to announce he’s fired.

After 2015 draft I have had zero expectations, that this organization has any understanding or knowledge how to draft talents for the rebuilding. Cannot say that I’m confident about anykind of roster management this team has. They sign friends (Foligno), players who admire fan favorites (ELindholm) and players which Cam Neely likes. If you fill one of these, you get luxorious contract with full NMC or NTC.

The same people in charge took us three directions in the last three seasons. 22-23 was all in, 23-24 was penny stock short term deals, 24-25 was landing the big free agents and loading up on size/speed on the bottom 6. This year hasn't worked but it's hardly the same old same old.

Again I'm not against going with a different management group but I'd like to know who they are first.

is the McTavish/ Swayman deal happening ?? :sarcasm:
(No actual rumor out-there, just something I threw out there a couple of days ago)

At this point, all I know is that Sweeney is not under a rock and has made two calls to Verbeek this week.

The guy I got this from is still disappointed I put Lindholm's name out there when he gave it to me so I don't want to burn any bridges.

But I'm working on it.
