More damning is the goal differential although it's been better under Sacco and Swayman is coming on. There is still alot of hockey left, so we will see where everyone is when they play 82
If the Bruins stand pat, this may help once all teams have played 82.;)

A set of 14 ping pong balls are placed in a lottery machine, which allows for 1,001 combinations.
Each team in the lottery is assigned a set of random four-number combinations. The worse a team's record, the more combinations they are assigned; so the team with the worst record, gets 185, representing an 18.5% chance of winning the first lottery draw.

A team can move up a maximum of 10 spots in the order; therefore, if a team in spot Nos. 12-16 wins the first draw, they move up accordingly, and the team lowest in the standings slots in at No. 1.
There is then a second draw, to determine the next possible spot, using similar rules as the first. Similarly, a team in spot Nos. 13-16 can still move up only 10 slots, so they would move up accordingly and the next lowest available team in the standings would get pick No. 2.

I would have to think the Bruins have made internal evaluations on this current roster and have a plan on who's in and who's out.

The problem is when do they pull down the lever on the season, I honestly can't see them blowing anything up in regards to the core group. This is a thin roster that is filled with third line player and a few top end guys.

The D to me is not as broken as we think, Lindholm was a major blow and once he returns the pairs should fall in place.

Guys that I can see moving are Carlo and Freddy. Both will bring back some nice assets and would be great pick ups for teams contending at the deadline.

I also feel losing those two will not send the Bruins into a further sinkhole but are guys with tremendous value in a trade.

My 2 pennies worth
I like this post. It’s reasoned IMO.

My only add is that I think they have to ensure the current GM isn’t the one making the decisions. It’s time for a new vision.

I’d also say moving Marchand should be a priority. He’s one of the few guys who’d fetch a real return and considering how bare (embarrassing) our prospect pool is, you need to bite the bullet in this case. Ideally you keep a guy who’s been so central to your franchise, but they squandered that right by squandering picks and drafting and developing so poorly.

They didn't draft Reinhart, they traded for him... a late 1st and a 6th rd drafted prospect. Less than Sweeney dealt for a month of Rick Nash. It would be like counting Zacha on the B's as 6th overall, Hampus Lindholm as 6th overall and Elias Lindholm as 5th overall or like counting JVR last year as 2nd overall.
And Oliver Wahlstrom at 11th overall

I will never blame DS for "going for it" at the deadlines, we all loved it when he did. Im not Trading Marchand unless he requests it.

Sure feels like the real rebuild will begin if/when they finally lose to the Leafs in the playoffs.
You are assuming we make the playoffs.
This team needs to sell all we can at the deadline.
Carlo, Coyle, Frederic ( if we do not resign him) and Brazeau.
I want a mix of prospects and picks.
The way DiPietro is playing this year, I would listen to offers for Korpi as well and dump his salary if we get a decent return.
Call up Potsy and Lysell when the trades are made and give Callahan a chance to play as well.

They need to be top 5 who could junmp in the line up for one of Hagens, Schafer, Misa, Martone or McQueen...but a top 10 pick could be great and if Desnoyers is available between 10-15 spot and they have the chance to grap him he become the best C of this team right away imo

The GM, should be held accountable. We all have had our say on the players and coaching, but it is time to look at who put this roster together. I does not matter what players you or I like or don't like, but there are some serviceable players on this roster, but many are not top six and goal scoring, and cap waste and mismanagement, should be considered the major problem with this team. I am just pissed that this team is just sitting on its hands.

Who U trading McAvoy or Carlo and who’s your number one left d?
I wouldn't trade McAvoy. I was looking at UFA D this summer and thinking about what the D would look like if Carlo was traded for a C. Would this team be better off adding an expensive UFA F or an expensive UFA D who can score goals? For example...

Chychrun - McAvoy
Zadorov - Lindholm
Lohrei - Peeke

Waited all weekend for moves to be made as folks said nothing would happen till after the Moms weekend.

They send down McLaughlin and call up Lettieri.

Lol.
I’m excited to see Vinny Leading the p bruins in points and 3rd in points AHL. He can skate and put up points. Good call. Hope he gets fair shot. Not surprised one bit about the call up. Well deserved.
