They may want Swayman as part of the deal? What do you think it'll take to grab Necas from Carolina? He's only 6.5$ for the next 2, I like to believe he wants to play with Pasta and get the Czech line 2.0 with him and Zacha. Doubt we have the assets given how well he's playing and Carolina's needs and our cap situation. I think he's a more realistic add over Pettersson and Miller that keep getting talked about
I think we are talking about trade value. I doubt he’d return a second round pick. For a team in the hunt I’d say that’s no value as he’s more valuable to the chase now than as a future asset. Frederic might return more but I’d probably just hold steady rather than be a true seller.Zero value ? He is cheap big and on pace for 20 goals. What do u consider value?
Canucks have Miller there and one of the best D men on the planet in Hughes and are sitting 2 points up on Calgary for last wildcard spot.Kind of sounds like Bruins situation here. Not sure the cost to aquire him but good bet multiple 1st rounders included. The Bruins need to go all in for Elias Patterson. Whatever it takes.
How often do 26 year old #1 centers come available? Once or twice a decade?
He's the same age as McAvoy and Swayman, 2 years younger than Pasta. He's big, he's fast, he goes to the net, he plays a two-way game. He's a left shot which is what the PP needs, someone to mirror Pasta and be a threat to score from the opposite elbow. He's scored 100 points, he's scored 30 goals 3 times and been on pace to score 30 goals 6 times in 6 years in the league. He's a Calder winner, he's received Selke votes twice, received Hart Trophy votes twice, a four time all-star....
Sweeney, you want to skip a lengthy rebuild? You get this guy.
Dobes has played well, but only 2 games so far, Blaine Lacher looked great at first with the Bruins also. Dobes could end up being a flash in the pan.Miller was a beauty last night vs Habs and EP40 was a complet ghost. And about the Montreal killer, we ve seen a team that is scary good and hot right now with the young Habs TEAM and their best weapon the PP...and Dobes who looks just like a Carey Price on steroïds...
Seems like the Bruins always get less then other teams for same type players so maybe keeping him is the move i dunno but I would like to sell high.,but you can't keep Freddy if not locked up.Its a buisness and its not smart buisness letting players walk for nothing in return.Anyhow my 2 cents.I think we are talking about trade value. I doubt he’d return a second round pick. For a team in the hunt I’d say that’s no value as he’s more valuable to the chase now than as a future asset. Not sure if he was all that wonderfull the Nucks would have him on the market. The Bruins need to go all in for Elias Patterson. Whatever it takes.

Swayman = Lacher this season, to bad he wasnt getting paid like LacherDobes has played well, but only 2 games so far, Blaine Lacher looked great at first with the Bruins also. Dobes could end up being a flash in the pan.
Only thing though is EP is 26 Miller 31.Not saying anyone is right or wrong in this thread but this age gap would matter in cost. Not sure if he was all that wonderfull the Nucks would have him on the market.
Rather have Miller and would be willing to give up more for him.

I think both players are what they are at this point. You take a gamble on EP if the plan is long term, Miller if its not.Only thing though is EP is 26 Miller 31.Not saying anyone is right or wrong in this thread but this age gap would matter in cost.
There is every reason to think that Van would want more ready to play talent. Yeah our first would be in it but so would Lohrei and Poitras. So I don’t think it would be heavy in draft capital overall.Canucks have Miller there and one of the best D men on the planet in Hughes and are sitting 2 points up on Calgary for last wildcard spot.Kind of sounds like Bruins situation here. Not sure the cost to aquire him but good bet multiple 1st rounders included.
Yea EP is 5 yrs younger which would be better plan longterm for a team setup to build around him.But the cost to aquire him would wipe out a chunk of draft capital no doubt and they are tied into other long term deals .I don't have the right answer but I sure could get behind selling off all they can and rebuilding. That said I think them trading is more likely then ever considering rebuildingI think both players are what they are at this point. Not sure other teams as high on Poitras as this board.Van could probably do better elsewhereThere is every reason to think that Van would want more ready to play talent. Yeah our first would be in it but so would Lohrei and Poitras. So I don’t think it would be heavy in draft capital overall.

I think Tocchett would love Frederic coming back. Don't know if anything happens between the two teams but if it does my house is on Tfred going the other way in a package.Whatever it takes.
I don't think it will cost multiple 1sts, but if it does I'd pay it. I think the cost will be similar to what Vegas paid for Eichel: Tuch, Krebs and a 1st. My offer would be Carlo, Poitras and a 1st. I'd love it if they took Letourneu or Lysell instead of Poitras, but whatever it takes, it takes.
I was thinking more about taking someone else with a smaller cap hit this year, know it'll be more next year.Sure - if there is value there. But a $3m player is not going to move the needle, right?
I don't think the Canucks want to trade either one, but it seems Miller can't co-exist with Petterson so one of them has to go.Not sure if he was all that wonderfull the Nucks would have him on the market.
Rather have Miller and would be willing to give up more for him.
Poitras + Lohrei minimum for either Miller or EPWould Vancouver consider a Coyle + Frederic + 2026 2nd for JT Miller?
It would provide an excellent 2/3 C for them in Coyle, give them some toughness with the plumber Frederic and a 2nd round pick.
The Bruins would get a #1C in Miller and finally balance the Bruins lines as they so desperately need making E. Lindholm the true #2C he is.
This would also force the silly management to call up Poitras and shelter him and his minutes playing 3C giving him an opportunity to succeed with less pressure.
If Sweeney is contemplating acquiring Miller or Petterson, he at least has two players on his roster that have played with both and can tell him if Miller or Pettersson could be potential problems in the lockerroom.I don't think the Canucks want to trade either one, but it seems Miller can't co-exist with Petterson so one of them has to go.
I worry about Miller's locker room issues. He seems to wear out his welcome everywhere he goes. Did he not just take a month off because he can't stand his teammates?
Plus, Miller is soon to be 32, and Cup winners are driven by guys in their mid-20's. Look at the #1 centers on the Cup winners over the last 20 years...
Bennett/Barkov (27), Eichel (25), MacKinnon (26), Point (24 and 25), O'Reilly (27), Kuznetsov (25), Crosby (21, 28, 29), Toews (21, 24, 26), Kopitar (24, 26), Bergeron/Krejci (24, 25), Fedorov (25, 26, 31), Getzlaf (21), Staal (20), Richards/Lecavalier (23). You can go back another 20 years and it's the same story.
Makes sense. I'd include Frederic, and ask for Hoglander back. So now it's Carlo, Poitras, a 1st and Frederic for Petterson and Hoglander.I think Tocchett would love Frederic coming back. Don't know if anything happens between the two teams but if it does my house is on Tfred going the other way in a package.
As far as the first if you can acquire Pettersson you give them away and try to re-coup them down the road, but im thinking the Nucks will want immediate help back. Sure maybe a first but not multiple ones or even picks, over immediate help.
Lindholm being a Swede is all you need to now about where that conversation would go.If Sweeney is contemplating acquiring Miller or Petterson, he at least has two players on his roster that have played with both and can tell him if Miller or Pettersson could be potential problems in the lockerroom.
Whatever it takes.

Done......can I get you a drinkTh

I couldn’t agree more. Even if Sweeney said have your pick I’m sure Van would get more elsewhere. We just don’t have the elite prospects.Yea EP is 5 yrs younger which would be better plan longterm for a team setup to build around him.But the cost to aquire him would wipe out a chunk of draft capital no doubt and they are tied into other long term deals .I don't have the right answer but I sure could get behind selling off all they can and rebuilding. That said I think them trading is more likely then ever considering rebuilding

I sent a deal on main boards for McAvoy for ep40 . So far good responses .The Bruins need to go all in for Elias Petterson. Whatever it takes.

$4.1M + $2.3M + $1.1M + X = $12.7MMakes sense. I'd include Frederic, and ask for Hoglander back. So now it's Carlo, Poitras, a 1st and Frederic for Petterson and Hoglander.
Hoglander plays hard, he plays fast, he's physical despite his size (when we played them he bumped Zadorov off balance and took the puck), he goes to the dirty areas... He reminds me a bit of Vatrano in build and speed, but Vatrano is a better shooter and Hoglander has better hands. He's snake bit this season, but that's a skill guy you could put on your 3rd line next year to help with zone entries who, at worst plays hard consistently, and if his offensive game matures you've got a very good middle6 winger.
I think that's robbing Peter to pay Paul.I sent a deal on main boards for McAvoy for ep40 . So far good responses .
