Poitras needs more time in the A in my opinion, just to adapt better to the physical environment.

Lysell & Merkulov are NHL ready. I think we have to ask ourselves who on the current roster fills a role in the next two or three years. If they are going to be replaced, then do it sooner than later. I’d rather get the NHL ice time to the kids than guys that have no future here.

Hmmm.., I'm not a fan of giving up the pick. But on the idea of whipping boy for whipping boy, would swapping the retainment to the OIl and have them retain 700k with Skinner get close?

Basically, a cap-neutral deal centred around Skinner at 2.3 for Frederic? I'd expect an extra piece or two to be added, but as a concept would that work?

Though my preference would be just to get the cap space and roster spot freed up for the Oil. If Skinner's appealing, then offering up Frederic to a 3rd team for a similar deal might be the easiest fit,

So from the Bruins' POV:
Deal 1
Skinner for Jones

Deal 2
Frederic @25% for a 2nd from team XYZ.

Kreider makes so much sense.

Do it Don

And insert speed and skill with Poitras and Lysell.

Marchand-Zacha-Pasta
Kreider-Lindholm-Lysell
Brazeau-Poitras-Coyle
Koepke/Beecher-Kastelic-Geekie

Old , expensive, and playing very poorly

Parts of me thinks, sure I guess if you can get him as a pure salary dump for a 3rd round pick and someone like Merk, sure. But then again I know the money doesn't work, so we can't take a pur cap dump, s probably need to convince the Rangers to take Coyle back, and probably also need to Add a significant asset above that, because Coyle doesn't give NYR the cap flexibility they want

Or you have to pay NYR a significant price to have them retain a LOT of salary, which is not something they want to do, and would be incredibly expensive

I was always interested in Petterson, and I know the contract is large, but what scares me most just seems like too much drama around this kid. Must say though very productive, but what will he be like long term, when things are noy always going great.
I truly believe it's all about the culture and he would take time like Lindholm. But I also believe that having him on the right side of the PP in the bumper would do wonders for this stale PP. Same as Miller down low where DeBrusk used to play.

Highly skilled # 1 centre though and all I have ever heard is Bruins room is strong.Maybe they can make it work and settle him down.
Top 10 in league scoring multiple years, power center who elevates his game and others in the playoffs. You have to be able to handle a guy with that intensity. Think Chara, Lucic, Shawn Thornton, etc.

You know those intense guys at Mens' league that are going non-stop? That.

Oh, and if you're not putting in the time in the gym with Whitesides, or practising through tough stretches he will call you out and often.

That is the rift. Richardson himself went public saying that back in 2022 he had to tell Miller to go easy on Pettersson as he thought he was being to hard on the kid and that he is sensitive.

But if you have a culture of guys who want that (Marchand, McAvoy, Zadorov, Kastelic, etc.) then it only grows the room stronger.

Basically, you need a thick-skinned playoff battle team and he would fit perfectly into the accountability culture.

Vancouver had years of sucking and developing young quiet talent like Hughes and Pettersson.

Who says no?

Offer Ottawa any three assets (picks, prospects, players) aside from Pasta for Brady Tkachuk.

God forbid a business owner wanting to make money,

Why would a team in the playoff picture blow it up? Please explain.
Because this team has little top end talent. Take a look at what’s been going on lately. They simply can’t compete with top end teams. Running the treadmill is good I guess. This team is going nowhere. Maybe they’ll get a round or something.

That would be pretty awesome. Would the Sens be willing partners though?

Top of my head, if Ottawa agreed, they’d take McAvoy, a first and maybe even another first.

I’d do it from the B’s perspective.

How much longer is JT Miller’s contract?

Throwing this out there. Send Lindholm back to Vancouver. They aren’t going to trade the younger guy wrapped up for the next decade. So they need to try and save whatever relationship they have and get rid of one of the two problem children.

That’s’s Miller. Who from what I’ve seen in the past plays with an attitude which is something Boston lacks outside of Marchand and sometimes when not on shrooms McAvoy.

Lindholm gives Ban back a 2c(in theory). Boston gets a top 6 forward (in theory). If nothing else it shakes up both locker rooms and gives us something new to bitch about

I’m against the crowd and I think Boston would be good trading partners with Canucks

I think Bruins should have targeted Horvat, but from now I think between Miller and Pettersson, Pettersson would be more worth it even though it is more expensive.

Also Miller is on year 2 of 7
