Barry Pederson and probably $Way off on most of this in reality

I have liked McLaughlins motor as well. Down the stretch and in the post season, that sort of thing definitely matters and often times will yield a particular positive result. Give me the fourth line kid that goes hard every shift over the kid with a bigger toolbox but no consistency in wielding said toolsI don't know. Beecher has been uninspired for weeks now. McLaughlin plays harder more consistently and is more desperate around the net.
Either way, I'd sit Wally and put Kastelic on the 3rd line tomorrow night.
Frederic-Kastelic-Brazeau
Koepke-Beecher-McLaughlin
They're into the gauntlet of their schedule now. No time for passengers.
I would prefer to see him turn things around too. The forward you describe as being valuable and rare is indeed valuable and rare, but ol Trenty no show is literally none of those things right now. He’s not scoring, fighting, hitting, or being a pain to anyone other than Bruins fans.Traditionally a power forward/instigator type player should have an easy time remaining relevant if he is not scoring. He can fight, hit, "Stir the pot" and bring energy to the team when they are not playing well. Frederic has disapointed significantly this season as a scorer, more importantly he has not brought his physical game on far too many occasions. IT's tough to figure out why a player who was progressing nicely from a scoring standpoint as well as a defensive one has taken such a huge step backwards. They are a better team with the Frederic from last year, a third line pain in the ass who could play up in the line up when needed as opposed to this years version.
I would prefer to see him turn things around than trade him. A forward who can score 20 goals, fight, hit, instigator and be an over all pain is very valuable and rare today. Would rather have that Frederic than another Sweeney restoration project, or worse, a draft pick for Donnie to screw up.
Hard to pin point what’s wrong with the sabres.I was begging to strike/trade for Kulich when he still had 0pts. That ship has sailed.
Agree, he and Swayman have been my two biggest disappointments this yearI would prefer to see him turn things around too. The team has a lot of really good young players. If anything goaltending and defence? They have a couple of nice defenders too. It’s almost like they just need some core players that know how to win in the nhl. I can’t imagine they want Fredric or draft picks. They probably want Carlo or something similar. I’d be very sad to move Carlo. He is grossly under rated around these parts. His defensive game is damn near perfect.
At least Swayman has been winning games in his last 10. I feel like he’s 8-2 or something along those lines. He’s improving on his shit startAgree, he and Swayman have been my two biggest disappointments this year
Personally I feel he's overthinking the defensive role and it may be a part of the system Monty/Sacco deployed where they always want a 3rd man high . I see him peel back a lot in both the offensive and defensive zones. In the past he was more aggressive on the boards and driving to the net. Someone reigned him in probably due to blown defensive coverages and now its in his head.I would prefer to see him turn things around too. The forward you describe as being valuable and rare is indeed valuable and rare, but ol Trenty no show is literally none of those things right now. Disappointed? He is 7-2-1 in last 10 and just had a shutout. What do fans expect 10-0?At least Swayman has been winning games in his last 10. I feel like he’s 8-2 or something along those lines. He’s improving on his shit start
He’s 7-1-1 and been very goodDisappointed? He is 7-2-1 in last 10 and just had a shutout. What do fans expect 10-0?
I never said such a thing.Disappointed? He is 7-2-1 in last 10 and just had a shutout. What do fans expect 10-0?
Sabres last 12 years have had TEN single digit picks including two (1’s) and two (2’s) and another half dozen first round picksTheir record is just fine when Dahlin is in the line-up. 14-13-2 when he plays, 0-6-2 without him.
Good job, Gordie, I see you know much about Harry. Al Secord can be put on your list also. There is more to Harry, but that will be sufficient for today......All true and due credit.
Adam Oates. Andy Moog. Reggie Lemelin. Dave Poulin. Gary Galley. Brian Propp.
Feel free to add favorites.
Now get out that fine toothed comb and run down the lengthy latter day list of awful free agent signings and Over the Hill Gang garbage heap acquisitions.

Raymond Bourque for who, exactly?
Yes, Brian Rolston proved valuable. The first round draft selection did not. Let's not forget that Harry took Raymond to arbitration, and that for years, Bourque's salary amounted to a soft cap for every other Bruins player,
One cannot blame Sinden for the lockout fallout fiasco.
Nor did he sign Martin LaPointe for 5 million, receiving basically nothing in return, except Marty's undeniably invaluable tutelage of a young Patrice Bergeron in the ways of becoming a true NHL professional.
Or let Joe Thornton go for nothing, save Marco Sturm. Nor the fact that O'Connell, inexplicably, did not signal Thornton's availability to half the League (to their lasting annoyance).
Let's not skip lightly over Harry's tendency to avoid accountability and deflect blame by hiring and firing coaches like a bodily function.
An oldie but a goodie,
To say nothing of Harry's penurious, Cromag approach to and shabby treatment of players and coaches alike. Look it up. The stories are legion.
Finally, to what ultimate end?
Why, a dead end, of course.
Always - *always* - at least three players away from true contention.
Thank God he's gone.
Good riddance to bad garbage.
So would I but my dude he doesn’t look like he wants to be that guyTraditionally a power forward/instigator type player should have an easy time remaining relevant if he is not scoring. Seriously. How hard is it for a player like Frederick to move his damn feet? If you told me a player of Pasta’s caliber is forgetting to move his feet and just relying on a god given scoring talent, then ok. Everyone needs a reminder now and then to move — even a superstar needs a reminder to focus on fundamentals.Sacco spoke about him today.Said lack of production obviously but he has to move his feet and play physical .Sacco gets it .
Memory lapse or just selective ?How they get Neely?
How they get Middleton?
How they get Gilbert ?
I kinda remember Harry F’n up big time trading Secord, Courtnall, Fergus
Neely they gave up their best F over money who was a better player than Bergeron
Wesley was over money
Gilbert cost them Stanfield and Gilbert was about to sign a contract with WHA unless got dealt to Bruins
Harry made a bundle of sneaky mistakes
Courtnall & Secord were both traded in non hockey moves - complete garbage
Brad Park, might be one of the most underrated hockey players of all time, thank you Bobby Orr. Jean Ratelle was one of my favorite players, but he was also 2 years older than the "aging ' Espo . Middleton was a great player that deserves to in the hall before any other player, disgusting the way he has been treated. Harry got Lucky with the Hodge Middleton trade, but was wise enough to take advantage, Hodge was slipping no doubt, but the Rangers felt that if he was back playing with Espo, he could turn it around. People also forget that the Rangers, were ready to move on from Middleton at the time because he also was not living up to his talent, but was much younger than Hodge, what should be remembered that the coach at the time was Don Cherry and he had a great influence on making Middleton the player he turned out to be.I don't think the trading of Secord was a big time screwup, but we've been over that before.
The trading of Middleton for Hodge is an all-time great steal.
Barry Pederson was already damaged goods when Harry traded him for Neely and Wesley.
Getting Park and Ratelle for the aging Espo & Carol Vadnais was huge for the Bruins.
10-0 or bust.Disappointed? He is 7-2-1 in last 10 and just had a shutout. What do fans expect 10-0?
I think the Bruins are extremely lucky that the rest of the Eastern Conference in general is having a down year. If anything, it shows that a lot of NHL teams aren't as easy outs as they used to be.Are we having a better season than we think but are so jammed up from a bad start we can’t see it?
Yeah I’m high again so what
Fair enough.Memory lapse or just selective ?
Pederson had one good year with the Nucks. Cam became a hall of famer and of course that was the deal that kept giving Wesley was traded for 3 first and on and on....Hodge was all but washed up. Stanfield on the downside as well.
Harry wasn't perfect but way more better trades than not. The Ranford trade I hated and wasn't a fan of the Secord one but at least Harry wasn't afraid to to wheel and deal.
You know you could have just as easily gone glass half full here ScroogeI think the Bruins are extremely lucky that the rest of the Eastern Conference in general is having a down year. If anything, it shows that a lot of NHL teams aren't as easy outs as they used to be.
