Hate to say it but I've seen enough of Oliver Wahlstrom. No speed, no motor, no interest. Send him down or back into waivers or wherever.

Right now, the 3rd line is our weak link. Even in a game as bad as last night, the first line didn't play well, but scored and was +1. The second line also scored again (Coyle from Lindholm) was +1 and Coyle had 7 of our 26 shots on gaol.

Wahlstrom -2, Frederic -1, Brazeau -1. That line has a 7.1% xG. To put that in context Geekie-Zacha-Pasta is 62.8, the newly formed 2nd line is 58.1 and Koepke-Kastelic-Beecher is 65. The Wahlstrom line is 7.

Lots of bad drafting or simply trading picks away has caught up.They want to rebuild they cannot let Sweeney & Neely control it in my opinion.Every team makes changes eventually.
I think it`s been well established this is not a team looking to rebuild, don`t hand out contracts like Zadorov/Lindholm when rebuilding IMO

It’s very much a line of spare parts. The top 6 has been playing well for the most part and the 4th line obviously had their early season success, so it made sense that they would throw these guys together. It’s also not surprising that they’ve been ineffective. A trio of substandard skaters is always going to struggle in today’s NHL.

I’m not sold on this team at all. They fired the coach undeservedly, and have done better but still have had some really bad performances since. I’d like to see some roster shake up as well. I’d dump Frederic, Peeke, and kick the tires on Korpisalo (he’s been good, but he’s expensive for a long term backup, and maybe he’s raised his value).
Call up Merk, Mitchell, and DiPietro. And waive Wahlstrom, not seeing anything there in his short time here.

If we have to move a forward out to bring in Poitras/Lysell, then Wahlstrom makes the most sense, next for me would be Brazeau, I would look to see if some team has an interest in adding a big body like Brazeau, he may get something back.

I mean he’s shown nothing in his career that suggests he will do anything different. Totally agreed.

Like we are bringing in right wingers because they scored a lacrosse goal inbetween periods when they were a mite.

We have a kid in our system who would arguably be one of the best skaters on our team but are starting this kid who has dust instead of knee ligament.

If we don’t call up Lysell soon I’m going to become deranged

Last I heard hmm think it was against Edmonton are PP is currently the worst in franchise history how is this not a real concern considering I can remember so many worse offensive personal teams in the past ya maybe not the last decade or so but this is ridiculous to see in fact it’s hard to even watch they barely set anything up anymore it’s basically turn into a time / momentum killer as they slap it around the boards to each other and occasionally get a shot from Pasta residents.

I’ll agree PK is more important but let’s not say PP can’t change outcomes of games too and right now their confidence is low and extremely predictable. They need a massive shake up and can’t keep doing what worked in the past to snap them out of this funk.

Koepke and McLaughlin should come before Wahlstrom and Brazeau. I wouldn't hate it if Wahlstrom is one of the guys but those are certified 4A guys.

Brazeau is 5th among forwards in points and goals. I'm not sure why we should be shopping him under any circumstances. All while doing this with 13 minutes of ice time. I'm not sure what else we are expecting out of him?

If anything he needs to be pushed up to PP1. He's tied for 2nd on the team in PP goals all coming from the 2nd unit. He's been getting his job done all season.

Brazeau is slow, there are people that think hockey is speed skating with sticks that don't understand, or under value, a guy with great hands that knows how to screen and score from in close. Brazeau is not one of this teams problems.

To me he is a poor man's JVR. The only difference is I like him and his path to get here. Hope they lock him up for a bit and he stays a good story.

2 fckn games and you have seen enough of Walstrom, unbelievable. Brazeau should be out, McLaughlin in, with Freddy between Mc Laughlin and Walstrom. The same bitchers about Walstrom, are the ones that made excuses for Elias Lindholm, oh he missed camp, but did not play the last season game, oh he needs to get familiar with his new surroundings, oh he needs to get use to playing with his new teammates, and 8 mil later. Walstrom is 24, making a 1 mil, I will give him some time.

Yes before we cut bait on Walstrom, I’d like to see what he could do with legit top six players, and if he hasn’t completely recovered from his knee injury, let’s give him time.

Walstrom has 4 goals in his last 63 games, how much more time do you want to give him. He was cut from the Islanders for a reason, he is unproductive, nothing he has done in Boston so far screams to give him more time.
