Brazeau? He has been one of the few bright spots on this team so far. He's scoring at a 20 goal pace for league minimum, and every line he plays on gets a boost in possession.
IF, Sacco goes back to the defensive system and break out system he helped deploy under Julien and Cassidy which is what I expect him to do, Brazeau is the one forward I see this impacting the most and not in a positive way.

On the other hand, Sacco is more like Cassidy in shot quantity over shot quality, something Montgomery was not, and that could positively impact Brazeau with his net front presence, rebounds and tips.

Just going to have to let it play out. But I wouldn't base anything on the next 9 games where the only winning team they face is the Canucks.

These 9 games are like a mini training camp.

Is it fair to say after that stretch of games, the Bruins will start to consider selling if it doesn't go well? I mean I did not think it was a roster winning cup, but nor did I think it was this bad. What about re-signing Marchand? How many years and how much can you realistically give him at this point? Can't be paying for what he has done in the past right?

Our breakout was working pretty good under Monty until this year. All that changed was we lost Gryz, who was undersized, seem to panic with the puck when he felt pressure and lost a great deal of one on one battles in our own zone.
We lost Forbort as well, replaced these two with Zadorov and Lohrei.
Our dee should be better this year, maybe a different breakout will help?
As far as our shot selection goes, I am a huge fan of getting as many pucks to the net as possible, 5 on 5.
Our PP has become so predictable with the way we try to enter the offensive zone and playing for the one timer with Pasty....this needs a complete revamp.

Pastrnak at LW ???
I thought with geekie on his line he was already playing the left side but maybe they swapped Geekie to lw. My mind was on a (very?) poor man's version of the caps old line with Ovi-Backstrom-Wilson

While not the same players they could accomplish a similar play style minus the Tom Wilson scary hitting factor.

Dude - you replied to my comment about trading Swayman for a third and said you were all in on it.
Honestly maybe I did and you know what, maybe they should because he certainly isn't playing like a "FRACNHISE" goalie and they could utilize the cap space, and to be honest, I predict 8 years a whinny pain in the ass.............ok Stugarts your right.

I'm not that far yet and neither is management. I know many, many fans are, but you have to let things play out.

If things continue to go south, then Charlie needs to decide whether Cam and Don should be leading the charge. And if either are lame Ducks, do you want them making the deals? I know I don't.

Right now, for the next couple of weeks, we need to be patient and see what transpires.

Consider me fine with the lines. it's the EFFORT we want.
Yeah in all seriousness, I dont give a f*** about the lines.

I just want to see some f***ing life from this team and not just a few individuals on certain nights.

Full 60 from everyone for more than one game. Give us some entertaining hockey to watch.

Its all on the players now and they know this.

Lets go.

The best thing that can come out of this is a shot first mentality being drilled into their brains again, they aren't a skill team, Monty's system made zero sense from day one based on roster composition

These are the drastic lineup changes you need when you wake up outside of a playoff spot

Kastelic is back?

Day 1 of the 2022-23 season?

I beg to differ.

This is sobering because it makes you realize, "ok, good, they changed the coach" but still... that lineup. There remains the other big part of the problem.

Hopefully Sacco can figure out how to get more out this group. Ever onward.
The system is going to change ... some players are already familiar with what the change will be and benefit dramatically.
Defensively within a few games we should see a dramatic improvement as the Defensive structure will become tighter.
If nothing else, Sacco learned defensive aspects of the game from Julien and modified aspects from Cassidy.
Others may be skeptical about how much impact this will have on performance, but I'm suspecting within 10 - 20 games we will see a much different team.
We just need to be patient and give them time to adapt.
If after another 20 games if things haven't improved then we will know for sure it was not only a coaching issue with this team.
