I think there’s a lot of revisionist history with Spooner.

I recall when we traded him he was actually electric on the Bruins. That DeBrusk - Krejci - Spooner line was lighting it up.

I guess my point is that it’s okay to have some very offensively focused players. We can play defense, that part is clear. Let’s get some balanced lines and have people who can put the puck on the net or facilitate that function.

Easiest first step there is at least trying Lysell.

I’m not so sure. They gave him rope because he did have some talent, but they traded him because he never hit Frederic point levels at 5 on 5 and had all the warts. And we can’t pretend he wasn’t out of the league before he was 30. To stay in the league he had to do more than he did. And that was decided after Boston. Shit he even had a shot in run run what is D Edmonton.

taylor hall hat trick last night. based on how NHL trade value works, i guess he's worth 2 first rounders now

still would move a prospect and geekie right now to add hall. even post knee issues he's way more electric than
the geek squad.

Even with his hat trick, Hall's numbers are basically the same as Brazeau. But his cap hit is $6 mil.

And as you say, injuries have really been keeping him off the ice the last few seasons.

He's a pending UFA who cares what his cap hit is were a third of the way through the season.

If anything getting him back could be a shrewd move if he's ready to take a below market deal to play for his Bruins. We trade for him and he resigns for 3 years 2 mil per or something.

Lysell with another goal. Might give that third line a boost.

I still don’t mind the idea of a Geekie for Hall (50%) swap.

I don't want Zegras.

Not even if they pulled up at TD Garden and dumped him off for free.

And according to ProJo's Mark Divver and the Herald's Steve Conroy, Lysel has done little to help Providence, never mind the possibility of bringing him up to Boston.

Apparently, as with Zegras, he remains a soft, selfish, One Man Show.

Not interested in viewing either program.

Have you watched any Hawks games this year? He's a shell of the player he was when we had him.

Yeah, I know he had a hat trick last night.

Vancouver is searching for a RHD...Carlo for Garland? Yes i know Bs have nothing to replace Carlo
Maybe when Lindholm comes back, however, I think the Bruins right now need a LW more than RW.

Huge stretch based off of a tweet.

Again, this is utter and complete crap about Lysell. Complete garbage.

It's too bad because I'd love him back in a Bruins sweater. Unlike some, he plainly wanted to be here.

But that ship has likely sailed and Taylor is coming to the end of the road. Assuming you're talking about Taylor.

Nils Hoglander supposedly on the block.

How we feeling about that one?
I'm thinking he has a lack of size.

I'm also thinking he has a serious lack of non-NHL competition to project his likely NHL production going forward. And he's at the age where giving him non-NHL competition now does nothing aside from exposing him to waivers.

I ask this partly because I've been high on Hoglander for some time as a prospect. There's a lot of Marchand in his game.

Short in stature but a ton of skill and plays with a lot of bite. Pretty good season last year (earned him a bridge deal), but hasn't been all too impressive at the start of this one.

Something about this idea is intriguing to me. Can't help it.

Frederic for Hoglander?

Vancouver gets another ex-Bruin, which seems to be working out well for them, he provides some size and was a strong 5on5 player last year in the regular season but especially in the playoffs. Maybe they convince Frederic to stay.

Boston takes a chance on a 23 year old Hoglander and saves $1.3m against the cap right now, which means they can make a deal for a bigger fish much sooner than the deadline. Hoglander is a bit of a risk because he's signed to a 3 year $9m contract starting next year so if he comes here and stinks it's a negative value contract. But if he comes here and provides speed, creativity and gives the 3rd line some of what it had when Hall was on it, then it could be a win/win.
