98.5 just reported the cred guy in Columbus has Sweenuios on the list. Playing Winny. Who would they be looking at?
It took me a minute to figure out what you were saying...

Ehlers is one of the highest profile UFA's on the board this summer. I believe rumors are that he does not want to re-sign with Winnipeg. Niederreiter and Namestnikov are also UFA's in Winterpeg. Sweeney loves to trade for UFA's he wants to sign.

With both team ahead of the Bruins in the standings it would have to be a hockey trade that makes both sides better.

Coyle only has an 8-team NTC, he no doubt will put most of the Canadian teams on it and probably San Jose and Anaheim, he could be moved. Nashville may be looking to shake things up, I would see of they agree to Coyle + Geekie + Merkulov for O'Reilly + Evangelista.
I would rather move Lindholm with that shitty contract, but we all know that is not happening.

I think Coyle is the one they could be shopping along with Geekie. LIndholm just signed, so to move him they would have to be getting a real good player back, they could spin it that they could not refuse the deal, otherwise they won't move him this year. Vancouver though tried to trade him last year not long after acquiring him from Calgary.

You are no doubt right, that was my wishful thinking, taking over reality.

True, but to be honest, I am not looking to trade him, but with his contract and if continues to play like this, it should be explored and considered.
Why would anyone want him if this was the case? I'm not worry about McAvoy he will come around,

Not many tradable pieces on this team that will fetch a better player coming this way.

If the Bruins want to move someone to make a statement, I look at Frederic, Geekie, or Coyle.

If the Bruins end up sellers, that list gets bigger, but if they are trying to salvage this season, those are the three I would look at moving if I was Sweeney.

Coyle you would need to add a prospect with that contract. No ones touching him.

Does H. Lindholm have any trade protection?

Would you McAvoy ?

Bruins have no potential #1 dman in the system if McAvoy is traded. While McAvoy has had his issues ( TBH, last year was inconsistent too ), he would leave a massive hole behind with nobody to fill those shoes. I think the right play to make is let McAvoy work thru his issues - sometimes, good players have down year(s) before they revert back to the player they were. I think it's very premature to start talking about trading McAvoy.

Lindholm has been the biggest disappointment for me so far . I never notice him playing half the time . Hes invisible.

I agree, with him it's more of an offseason move where he hopefully is decent the rest of the year and not a super negative asset. His contract is more attractive with 1 more year left.
