BTW, I'm glad Sacco left Boston's petulant 8.2 million #1 in goal for a proper, justly humiliating shelling.

I used to like Jeremy. I used to think he was the undisputed future of the Boston Bruins in 🥅.

After this summer, and his behavior, I no longer feel that way.

He is a good goaltender. I thought he would be the latest in a long succession of great Boston Bruins goaltenders.

I no longer believe so.

Evidently unable to shake off the foolishness of his summer fever, he is exposed.

I am not in burn it all down mode, but there is no player on the current roster I would not trade.

And I am not speaking to this season, nor the 8-2 bombing in Winnipeg.

More than anything, I am speaking to time's up for Sweeney & Neely.

They have given everything they sre capable of giving to this organization.

The cupboard is bare.

The "vision thing," whatever it was, is exhausted.

It is time, past time, to move on from both.

I'm still puzzled why Sweeney went out of his way to acquire Andrew Peeke (doing CBJ a favor), but didn't give Regula a single NHL look during a great season in providence.

His turnover numbers are staggering. It honestly needs to be addressed. He’s 6th overall on the team and most per 60 minutes. Hard to fathom for a guy who rarely has the puck.

Probably time to sit him for a few games.

I just don’t understand anyone not wanting to make a Kreider deal. The guy stands in front and deflects pucks, jams away at rebounds and can skate. He’s a big body and he’s not afraid to use it. He is the answer to our terrible power play and would give our offense a huge, much-needed boost. He’s a very, very big difference maker.

We would need to dump a useless player or two (Coyle, Carlo, etc) to make numbers work, but I would like to think if Kreider is available that Sweeney is trying.

If Swayman starts to actually earn some of his ridiculous money, we are only Kreider away from becoming elite again. He would make every forward on this team better immediately. This team is not as bad as it seems right now. It just needs a kick in the collective ass with a trade for instant offense and attitude.

I get it, but I also get that they watched every second of his time in Providence, and decided that they didn't think he could be the guy

Remember when we were told that it was all the fault of the Columbus coaching staff?
Not on!y is his play with the puck been suspect, his positioning has been just as bad.

He & Lohrei are a dreadful pairing defensively.

Good post. I agree everyone is up for sale but still believe in this team and see them built for the playoffs. I wanted swayman out the moment I realized it was about him first before the team. Trade his greedy cocky arse out! Always wanted Linus. Dude was a good bruin. He would have accepted a better deal.

He seems to get a pass from our fans and I am really not sure why

He’s a JAG imo
Who?

Marchand telling the truth…

Do you feel bad for Swayman?

Not really. He was part of the problem. Everyone was bad and that includes him.

Swayman is untradable. Just put that notion to bed.

Imagine being the GM that risks that deal? Instantly fired.

In June if you made a poll asking Bruins fans if they could only keep one between Sway and Debrusk, who would they keep. You'd have gotten 99% on Sway. Today you couldn't trade Sway to them 1 for 1.

I'm sure Sweeney has inquired about Kreider. But the Bruins don't have the assets to match other teams.

True, but that's as much on Lohrei as Peeke.

Lohrei actually has more giveaways than Peeke and many are just horrendous ones.

Yeah, I think that's more on Lohrei than Peeke. Zadorov-Peeke is very good, but Lohrei-Carlo is even worse than Lohrei-Peeke. The only pair where Lohrei hasn't been an issue has been Lohrei-McAvoy and while Lohrei's play is better, that pair hurts McAvoy.

Lohrei can score, but he hasn't learned to defend well yet, and he has to get better at sensing danger and moving the puck before he turns it over.

*I LOVE BRAD.*

Brad Marchand, roughly = Ted Lindsay, one of my heroes.

Clearly, a message.

I caught little of the game, so I cannot fairly comment.

I will repeat, as stupid as it sounds to many, at this point no player on the roster should be untouchable.

There are those I would retain. That's my prrsonal list. We all have one.

Truly, and again not because of this season or what happened in Winnipeg, but overall, it is time for change. Well past time.

For me, that begins with the off-season dismissal of Sweeney and Neely.

They are far from bad managers.

They have done much good and deserve credit for doing so.

But it is time for them to go. It's time to move on.

I don't know what comes after that. I can't say.

Recall that Charlie Jacobs was charged by the old man with bringing in new management.

Charlie chose wisely. He selected Peter Chiarelli. Who eventually selected Claude Julien.

I believe you know the rest.

Something of this sort is in order.

Paradoxically, relative to going outside the organization, my very first choice for general manager of the Boston Bruins going forward would be Zdeno Chara.

Patrice as team President.

This is unlikely to occur anytime soon, as both are pursuing other interests and living lives.

Those are my fantasy picks even so.

We shall see...
