5-2 1st intermission. Would be shocked if Gauthier isnt in to start the 2nd. 5 goals on 14 shots tonight. Didnt look sharp at all, and the team in front of him definitely arent helping. The true Pittsburgh Penguins experience.

Edit: They just came back out and Murashov is still in.

De St. Phalle, Calvert and Klassen are playing with the WBS against Hershey tonight.

So the stench of nieto already kicking in

Three D men already signed from the 24 draft already, and I’m sure Vaisanen will get one next year. Not bad at all. Drafting over agers always seems to work out well for us.

Was looking at some of our prospects who’s rights expire at the end of the year.. Chase Yoder , Daniel Laatsch and Cooper Foster… pretty safe bet none of these guys earn an ELC.

I'm surprised but I've not watched him play since his freshman year. Can't teach size and all that...
Thought this was interesting. They've obviously liked him or awhile:

Penguins director of player development Tom Kostopoulos said at the team's development camp last month in Cranberry, Pa. that they "think there's a lot of potential in Daniel, being the size he is, the intelligence he has defensively, the stick detail he has."

Kostopoulos said that Chris Butler, the former NHL defenseman who works for the Penguins as a development coach, has been saying for years now that Laatsch "has got the best defensive stick in college hockey."

We could definitely use that.

Will be interesting how offensively productive a guy like Laatsch will be at the pro level. Even Dumo had a near PPG season in College

I have hopes that Pickering might produce at a 30point level but if Laatsch makes it then I'm guessing Gill / Scuderi levels of production.
