Prospect Info: '24-'25 Prospects Thread: Generation Z

The other 2 RD besides Brunicke and Harding, Vaisanen and Pietila, seem to be having statistically noteworthy seasons.

Brunicke is back from injury as well. He was supposed to be back a week ago, their beat reporter said they downgraded him back to week-to-week but he’s apparently good to go. Had an assist in his first game back.

Kamloops was doing a bit better but now they’ve fallen to 3rd worst in the WHL.

Murashov deserves a good chunk of starts in WBS before the season ends, would love to go into next year with him as the de-facto starter. He's been great at every level he's played at, we could have a diamond in the rough here.

Please stop putting stock in literally anything Scott Wheeler says. He does not watch the games. I would be shocked if he’s seen one single WBS game this season.
I'm not sure if Wheeler has watched a WBS game, but he was at the Prospects Tournament in Buffalo where Brunicke made a big impression on him. So he does watch some games in person, at least.

Prospect tournament he attended and he wrote up a kid for playing poorly — turns out the player wasn’t even there.

Via EP on Hallander on a recent game:

"In this game, Hållander drives play in different kind of ways in almost all of his shifts. He feels like a weapon every time he steps onto the ice. He plays a power forward game with strong skating, energy and inside-drive. He has added a slightly better touch at high pace and more various ways to attack now versus his last stint in North America. His defensive game is dominant. He continuously breaks up plays and retrieves pucks for his team. He plays a strong game around the crease. He creates mostly with speed, power and turnovers rather than with space-opening stick handling. He plays a low position close to the goal on the power play and is effective there. He assisted on both goals for Timrå and contributed to many of their scoring chances all game. I can see him playing a Patric Hörnqvist kind of role in the NHL next season. Hållander is most probably a soon 25-year-old rookie on the Pittsburgh Penguins roster. He has been one of the best players in the SHL this season, and if he has a future NHL career , now is the time!"

This is why I'm pretty confident that Hallander will be top-9 caliber if he comes back next season, he sounds basically exactly what Sullivan wants out of a forward. He's not going to be hitting the offensive highs he has in the SHL but he seems like a good bet to be at least a good 3rd liner.

If he pans out, he's also a super logical Bunting replacement on L2 and on the top PP unit as well.

Hallander was my favourite prospect when he left so him coming back and being a real NHLer would be a nice story in an org lacking in them over the last 5 years
