Nope. He’s a winger. If they try to play him at Center they’ll soon figure that out for themselves.I'm assuming this is the right thread to ask...
Did Tomasino play center for you guys/the Admirals?

Trenin has the other mild goalVinny scores game one with the mild.
I guess Askarov has been sent back down?
His SJ stats are unimpressive, admittedly on a bad team

That's only true if we also don't sign the 3 big FAs. Otherwise we waste the remaining good years of ROR, Stamkos and Marchy with a goalie who is learning or a marginal starter like Lankinen.View attachment 975121
We know all about "bad teams".
Askarov is pretty close to being ready... I definitely feel the vindictiveness/revenge factor for the stunt he pulled. I think that's fair... for fans. The GM should have been a little smarter/more patient than us fans, though? Obviously we would have been better off for the long run had we traded Saros and kept Askarov, right? Does anybody disagree with that now, even with the very little hindsight we have under the wheels?![]()
That's just an urban myth to me. I doubt those guys cared one bit about Saros/no Saros. He is no legend. They Got Paid. End of story. We're going to waste whatever those years are anyway now. That extension happened after the fact (given all the hijinx of UFA period these days), and I'm sure had no bearing whatsoever on their signings. That's only true if we also don't sign the 3 big FAs. It sucks that it has all crapped out, but that is sometimes what happens when you go All In
Maybe giving him game time during the tourney?I guess Askarov has been sent back down?

Saros was still under contract for this season, we clearly could have waited to see how things looked. It was a dumb decision no matter how you try to excuse it.That's only true if we also don't sign the 3 big FAs. Yes, plus SJ really is fine with getting torched in games. Askarov probably is better than Georgiev and Vanecek. Stats bear that out. But they don't care, they want that #1 pick.Maybe giving him game time during the tourney?
Well, I'm confident if we have a decent defensive system, Saros will look alright, anyway. His contract still won't look good. But that ship has already sailed. It's going to be a topic here for 8 more years, yay.If we axe Bruno this summer and play normal system, Saros will rebound with strong year and that contract will look much better.
That contract is never going to look good, the mistake was even signing it.If we axe Bruno this summer and play normal system, Saros will rebound with strong year and that contract will look much better.
As stated months ago... we would have been better off letting him walk as a UFA vs. signing this contract. That was true in June, 2024, and it's true today. Few believed it back then... but here we are...That contract is never going to look good, the mistake was even signing it.
You misunderstood my point. After we decided to splurge on the big 3 there was no way to dump our vezina caliber goalie. Either all in or none in.That's just an urban myth to me. There was most definitely a way to just let the season play out, though, since we already had Saros under contract for this season. You misunderstood my point. After we decided to splurge on the big 3 there was no way to dump our vezina caliber goalie. Either all in or none in.

That horse has 8 more years of tireless labor on it, my friend.
