Ekholm is back! He and Arvy have assists tonight. So yeah, I'm cheering for Edmonton now.

Ain't no way in heck I'm rooting for a Canadian team, especially one that has Corey Perry on it. The main boards would be an unbearable mess.Ekholm is back! He and Arvy have assists tonight. So yeah, I'm cheering for Edmonton now.![]()
Well at least we don't gotta worry about Trotz hiring him if he fires Brunette early into the seasonLambert hired as Kraken coach. Oof...he has not aged well (both physically and coaching-wise).
I remember how brutal they (Canadians in general) were to us when we were in danger of moving. My memory sucks these days but I remember that. I don't really hate the Oilers but I won't cheer for a Canadian team (or Minnesota just becau$e) to win the cup until we win one. Might be disappointed, but that's sports, isn't it? Disappointment with the occasional joy thrown in, ha!Ain't no way in heck I'm rooting for a Canadian team, especially one that has Corey Perry on it. The main boards would be an unbearable mess.
Canadians are very weird about hockey. Getting another NHL team in Canada (whether it was Hamilton, a second Toronto team, Quebec City, etc) has always been a weak spot. I don't hold that as much against Canada as probably some of you here do, because I understand how at the time it was a much hotter topic, and a lot of southern NHL expansion teams weren't faring that well, plus teams had been taken away from Canada recently (Winnipeg, Quebec). And a lot of those people who dissed us are the standard Toronto area type of entitled folks who aren't really that representative of most Canadians.I remember how brutal they (Canadians in general) were to us when we were in danger of moving.
