There once was a duck named Leo. He waddled across a knoll, muddy and speckled with the unfortunate remnants of other animals' passing, on his way to the taco stand that had opened near his favorite pond. Leo was no ordinary duck—he was a connoisseur of fine foods, particularly golden burritos and five-hole tacos.

But alas, Leo was old, and his joints ached with every step. "Arthuros already?" he muttered to himself. Or at least he thought that was the word. He wasn’t quite sure.

Finally, he arrived at the taco stand, where a retired vet greeted him with a moderated smile. "A duck needs a feast! What’ll it be?" the vet asked.

Leo stared at the menu, bewildered by the options. “I don’t have an answer for you...” he admitted, his webbed feet shuffling awkwardly in the dirt. The vet’s smile faltered, and for a moment, it seemed like he might let out a little "boo boo" of disappointment.

Leo finally spoke up. "Latvian chicken wings or American wombats? Hmm. I’ll take five chick wings, please!” He rummaged in his feathers and produced a tarnished coin. “Here’s a deuce,” he said, slapping it onto the counter with his beak.

The vet looked at the coin, static for a moment. “Woah, what in the almighty! A deuce?” he exclaimed, clearly impressed by the duck’s payment.

Leo took his guitar, waddled back across the knoll, and perched by the pond to enjoy his meal. As the sun set, he began to play, making his guitar weep gently.

One thing that’s interesting is that our goal-scoring hasn’t suffered at all without Leo. If anything it’s been up a bit. Small sample size tho but doesn’t look like they’ve missed him.

Disappointing that instead of putting Mintyukov in LaCombe's spot and evening the minutes out more, they're just going to have Cam fill in for the "highest minutes on the team" role and keep the LaCombe-Zellweger line sheltered.

I'm excited to go to the game, although a bit bummed two of my favorites - Leo and Mintyukov - won't be in the lineup. I do think Minty sitting for a game is a good thing for him. He struggled the last couple of games and hopefully this helps him reset a little bit.

I dunno. Mintyukov has looked very slow to me, and has made some bad reads recently. Looks either injured or worn down.

Like I said in the other thread think he has been the weaker of the younger D. This is actually something I agree on with Cronin. We shall see how things go tonight.

Btw word of caution I’ve already started drinking. You may need to take over mod duties by 2nd period lol

I think it depends on how you define weaker… he’s also been put in the harder situations.

I don’t mind him getting a little break tho…. Prob needs it.
