Lehner has played spectacular though. Even though he's at 0 wins for 2 games he has a .951SV% and 1.86 GAA. The sens cant score goals to save their lives

I'm sure they'll rectify that tomorrow

Hoping for a big 5-2 win though. Would be nice to see the streak hit 5

Is anyone else worried that we might be a little TOO reliant on Rick Nash? Look at our record with and without him.

Now granted, Nash has stepped up and become a monster with Richards playing poorly, then not playing at all, and Gaborik has been slumping, but still making some impact, but without Nash, how many of these games do we win?

Our scoring is still too top heavy. If Callahan, Nash or Stepan are off, that could be the game. We need to be getting at least a goal or two from our bottom six every few games. SOME secondary scoring.

Pyatt scored a few early, then slowed down scarily, Miller has only scored in a single game, Kreider and Asham each had one goal while here, and after that, it's a ton of zeros.

Halpern, Boyle, Powe, Bickle. Not a goal between 'em. Boyle and Halpern have one assist each.

I know you look to your top six to score, but we've seen what happens if a few players are off. We're winning games, but we still don't look like team that can gut it out if it has to.

We need a 3rd line. Not 2 4ths

I hear you CG, but I think with our bottom 6 a bit more balanced recently, we will start getting contribution out of them soon. Plus don't forget, in reality Boyle has a goal (when MDZ hit his big butt) in the TML game in the Garden. Powe almost had one tonight, and Asham has a hard, accurate shot.So we will see. We just need B.Richards to show up and we will be scary.

Richards coming back bumps miller down to the 3rd line, and puts him against easier competition. If he continues to play like he has, he will be a big help with that offensive depth issue.

We should also keep and eye on Kreider. If he can make a return as a 3rd line scoring rookie, we go from a top 6 to a top 9. If those two can combine for a goal ever few games, we are a much much tougher team to beat.

The reality is that this team has as much, if not more firepower as anyone in the league at any given time. If all engines are go between Gaborik, Richards, Nash, Callahan, Stepan and Hagelin, we can beat anybody. Throw in our defense, and Hank, there's no reason for this team not to be embarrassing people. But how often do things go perfectly? Players slump. Sometimes they have entire off years. Lines go stale.

That's where that depth scoring is supposed to come in. The performance of our stars and how much support they get will determine how this year goes.

we need a legit third line player. The only one we have is Pyatt and maybe Miller. That's it. I think we should make a trade where we ship off a 2nd and a prospect for a third line center like Rich Peverley or Mike Fisher. We need our bottom 6 to contribute in the playoffs, if they can't do it in the regular season, well that's not good

I'll be watching at work this time. Amazing! Working from midnight till 6 AM and this will get me through the night shift haha.

LGR!!!

Good news !!! Brad got a clear coat manicure last night and sampled a new Beaujolais out of Margaret River Australia that he felt would ease his nerves and decision making .
We need this guy to get back and turn it up
Heave Ho LGR !!

You can say that again

I kinda like the streak we got going on right now..

Let's extend it tonight and move on to ovie on sunday..

Win this and they move into 6th I believe (unless NJ is playing as well). They need to start putting more wins together against teams they should beat. Chris Neil is playing on their 2nd line. Karlsson and Spezza are out. Need to capitalize.

2 points is the only thing acceptable.

Yeah, Jersey is off. Well move to 2nd in the division and 6th in the conference.

Not a big fan of Bishop all the way back to his days at UMaine.

If it is Lehner that's a bummer. He's significantly better technically and in his movement.
