That was a very good win for us. Minnesota played a frustratingly effective defensive game and got the lead midway through the 3rd. We weren't glareat but we were resilient and good teams need to be resilient and win games they're not great in. That's two games in a row we took wins away from the other team.

Tony D has been a little quiet lately but came up big in OT. Panarin assisted on all 3 of our goals and hits 30 points in 22 games. Henrik goes into fifth place all time in wins and was very good in this one. Kreider clutch goal and Fox was really good again. Skjei is waking up too.

And congrats to Hank. Thinking back to all those 2-1 losses back in the day when the Rangers couldn't buy a goal, all I can say is, it shouldn't have taken this long to get to 5.

Lol. Panarin drew all that attention just by being there, they were all focused on him. Good TDA didn't try to force a drop pass and had the presence of mind to accelerate down the middle like that. A lot of players would've forced the drop to Panarin. Good read by him.

And that’s one of the hard parts about where we’re at - a replacement isn’t always a given or apparent.

It's fine Lemmy will replace him.

I like Lemieux but if we’re expecting him to replace everything Kreider brings we’re setting ourselves up for disappointment. Lemmy is going to be a good piece going forward but Kreider is a very unique player. His speed opens up lots of lanes and he’s also an elite net front player and I’d also argue he’s an elite puck retriever as well.
