Such a like able guy but look around the league and the size , speed and skill set of top 6 players on the " ELITE" teams and signing him long term as a top 6 forward at upwards of 5 million is a mistake .

He was good for us last season. Moore needs a reliable partner. Him and MDZ don't work well together.

He won't be signed as a top 6 forward. He'll be signed as a lifelong NYR and team captain.

He's a 3rd liner on a good team.

He's a guy who should take a hometown discount and stay where he is. He's got the kinda game that will degrade in a hurry once he starts to wear down.

Love him but he's gonna need to resign at a discount.

He's a Middle-6 forward. He'd be on the 3rd line on a contender. Top-6 to me means that you can play on the 1st or 2nd line; Cally is not good enough offensively to be a 1st line player.

He has a hard accurate shot , good wheels , needs more poise , positioning and more time .
However with a few other smooth skating D men in the system moving him for a wing or center with size and speed with similar undeveloped upside wouldn't be the worstmove forte future .
