I really don't think there is anyway buffalo let's Vanek become a UFA. I like Vanek, but if we choose not to resign gabby then I want to see what our prospects can do for damage in the lineup we have a lot of talent coming up. We might even see some of it this season if Sather brings over Lindberg and/or Fasth, he sounded pretty high on them in a recent article.

Anyways, far off, Rangers need to win tonight! Let's go blueshirts!!!

He's very dangerous, that I can't argue. But he's only put up 80 points once, 70+ once, and only twice hit 40 goals. Basically the same as Gaborik but Vanek hasn't been in the league as long. I'm just worried Sather would give a 30 year old Vanek $7m+ a year.
