Richards was the biggest reason why we were a #1 seed last season. Also had pretty good playoffs.

But dont let the truth get in the way of a good rant.

Haha oh boy. I will give Dorado this though; "Torts The Clown" has such a funny ring to it that you almost expect it to be a normal clown name. If any body could photoshop Tortorella's face on a sterotypical circus clown for a new avatar, (make-up and crazy hair) then I'd be in your debt for ever.
 
Get off of Richards dude, it amazes me how so many people jump to conclusions after watching a guy play for 20 games this year, after the lockout and a week-long training camp. Richards' leadership and playmaking abilities were huge for us last year and were a big reason we went far in the playoffs and won 1st in the East.

So he's off to a slow start this year, so what? These games will be meaningless come playoff time. As long as we get in the playoffs (which we will), these games right now might as well be a warm-up for the playoffs. He'll pick up his game come crunch time, just watch.

Point taken. 2nd biggest reason we were a #1 seed. Lets run him out of town after 20 poor games the same way we wanted Del Zotto, Stepan and Gaborik gone over last 12-18 months.

Agree totally. Why people judge an out-of-shape player's entire game off of 20 BS games after a 1 week long training camp, after a ridiculous lockout that should have never happened is just so short sighted.

These games really are just warm up games... Do you think the leafs will make the playoffs? Well, if the regular season was over tomorrow, sure, but it isn't... so stop making these ridiculous comments.

I'm about an hour late on this, but why on the good earth of christ would Boyle, Gaborik, or Halpern get an A over Nash, Girardi, Stepan, McD, or even Del Zotto? The captain and alternate captains should lead not only vocally, but with their play. Boyle is an average player, Gaborik doesn't seem very vocal and Halpern has been on this team for half of a shortened season. As has Nash, but we all saw how awful this team looked without him. He leads the offense of this team night in and night out. Girardi is Girardi, and Stepan, McDonagh and MDZ have grown up here.

I really don't think there is anyway buffalo let's Vanek become a UFA. I like Vanek, but if we choose not to resign gabby then I want to see what our prospects can do for damage in the lineup we have a lot of talent coming up. We might even see some of it this season if Sather brings over Lindberg and/or Fasth, he sounded pretty high on them in a recent article.

Anyways, far off, Rangers need to win tonight! Let's go blueshirts!!!
