It’s certainly possible.

The truth is the only defenseman I like with a high pick right now is Byram. When you get outside of him, the odds saying we’re going with a forward and probably a center at that.

We can't control any of it, so just roll with it. If we roll with it all year, so be it. If we fall to shit, then we'll be ready for that, too.

I always thought L4H was a little bit of a dream and that this team would pick around where they did last year.

I think that's still a possibility.

No matter where they pick, they have to made due with it.

Strong game from Smith tonight. When he’s playing good he’s really a solid dmen. I think all of our dmen looked good. Very pleased with what’s become of ADA too. Shatty seems to be skating again as well.

Seems like we lost so many 1 goal games last year. This team can grind those wins out. Credit Quinn. He has no superstars to work with, and he’s playing in a league that’s beyond him (for now).

He’s done a hell of a job with what he has to work with.

Really fantastic to see the kids playing so well. Great effort across the board tonight but Chytil and Howden continue to impress.

Quietly solid debut from my boy Fogarty. Strome had a nice game as well.

I really think Howden has second line upside, have for a while.

He could play on the third line, but I’d kind of like to see him spread his wings as far as they’d go.

But there’s so many variables, it’s hard to say without knowing where we pick.

But if the Rangers were picking 6th, all things considered, I think I’d go with Podkolzin if the draft was tomorrow.

You deserve lots of credit. You were one of the only posters (that I can remember) that had that much faith in Howden, as far as saying he had 2nd line upside. I was pretty skeptical about him. I thought he could be a good defensive 3rd line center, but not much else. And I’ll admit I was also worried he would bust like his older brother.

Strome is much closer to the type of player this team needed than Spooner. Good call by Gorts on that trade.
