It really is gonna come down to seeing these kids develop as well as they have vs them not and getting a 8-10 percent chance at Hughes. Maybe I'm being too shortsighted and guilty of instant gratification but the former seems like the better option. If guys like Chytil, Howden, ADA and Pionk play like this I can't see this team being close to a bottom 3/4 team

It's hard to argue against all of this winning, but I'll tell you what, if this continues and say the Rangers win a playoff round or something, and the Penguins/Kings have one of their trademark down years and land Hughes, I'll probably stop watching hockey completely.

The corsi is now tied and the Rangers have a big lead in expected goals.

That is shocking. Gotta give DQ credit on that one.

Did Quinn hack Corsica or something? Trying to determine what he did that the players didn’t deserve getting credit for.

Stars on a road trip, second of a back to back. Probably had some fun on the town in NYC too.

In baseball, they talk about "doubles turning into homeruns" when there's a prospect with a little bit of pop.

I think Howden could be a "doubles into homeruns" guy. I think his smart little plays could become points in the right situation.

If Howden can indeed emerge as a second line center, it makes for an interesting development. For starters, Chytil has looked particularly good on the wing — which isn’t terribly surprising. But it also makes me wonder if Andersson goes to the wing as well.

The players deserve all the credit in the world for executing, don't get me wrong.

But I think it speaks to an adjustment from the staff that we never got under AV.

Or does he become the 3rd line center? Or do the Rangers draft one of Dach, Cozens, Newhook or Turcotte?

Mika just dropped Jamie ****ing Benn. No one ever call him soft again.

The funny thing is this is exactly what people were talking about during his draft year when they talked about him having a physical side, especially when mad.

He’s putting all the pieces together this year, but there’s literally nothing that really comes as a surprise. What we’re seeing this year is what people have been waiting for since he was drafted and one of the reasons he was a sixth overall pick.

We often talk about the type of talent you find when you’re picking high — that’s Zibanejad.
