First period was bad.

That period was good.

This game has been a snoozefest though.

And to think, I saw someone post a quote saying ADA may be scratched.

I’m trying to be as fair as I can watching this process of rebuilding, but, truthfully, DeAngelo is the only young Dman I see as being a potential keeper. There is so much about his game that looks special. Pionk is getting a a lot of press and love, but DeAngelo just does everything so well. I see Letang when I watch him play.

Stars players sometimes seem to fall over a little easy.

Big goal by Vesey--until then we didn't have much life and after that the Rangers looked a lot better.

Tight game but the Stars played yesterday so the Rangers should have a little extra zip in the 3rd period.

Imagine if Vesey signed with the Leafs instead, he would have been driven out of town by the end of the 1st season like Kessel but 10 times worse. The hype around him was so ridiculous..

He is. He’s a 2nd pairing Dman. But, by default, he was expected to be a top pairing Dman. He’s solid, but, he’s not someone who should be considered untouchable.

No, just someone who isn't a Tony fanboy. Its getting embarrassing for some of you guys, and I like ADA.

Much better defensively this period. We haven’t seem a slow, grinding game like this since the Torts era, and it’s nice to see the kids be able to hang with a tough, skilled team like Dallas.

First period was too much of the collapsing down low around Hank again. Joe showed the clip of the zone/hybrid pressure system Montgomery uses, which is what I wanted Quinn to do when he came here. We did a much better job of mimicing that last perios, and I hope to see it continue. I also liked their attempts to run picks and switches and try to stretch Dallas laterally. This should be a fun 3rd period.

Amazing to see a rangers team make adjustments between periods.

I'm going to continue to crap on AV for the foreseeable future. I'll probably still do it even when Quinn and who ever comes after him is gone.
