There's something off for sure but unless you are a coach working with him hard to tell. In the past even when he was struggling he was hitting the ball hard often at the warning track and you knew it was a matter of time before the ball would find a hole. Now there's 0 power in his contact. His lowest OPS in career is 772 in his rookie season. In 7 seasons he was under 790 OPS only twice. He is at 727 this season. This is a huge drop from his career low. It's been going since the beginning of may. In April despite the usual naysayers he was actually good. He was at 351 AVG, 417 OBP and 902 OPS at the end of April which was very good.

Who cares anyway pitching is not the main problem. BJ are 15th for runs allowed. They are within 20 runs allowed of being top 10. Jays are 22nd for runs scored. They are within 46 runs scored of being top 10.

This is a disgraceful performance against a pitcher like Burrows and it's all the team not just 1 player. The team is lost and it's certainly partially on the coaching staff, The challenge fiasco is another thing that is inexcusable.
