Red Sox/MLB 2026 Regular Season IV, 32-46

They've got 26 games before the All-Star break - mostly against teams that are either contenders for a Wild Card spot, or currently in last place. So, I think there's still a small window of opportunity.

I'd say they have to win a minimum of 16 of those games. Any less than that, and start the fire sale.
They're 3-7 in the 10 games since I posted this.

Why bother waiting?

This club is honestly the worst type of team to watch or root for. The pitching keeps them in just about every game, but they lose winnable games every night because the offense is so inept. On the off night the score a few runs its inevitable someone will give it up as the pitching has to be perfect for this club to win.

The Red Sox somehow have a worse win percentage than Angels

The Boston Red Sox are the absolute worst team in the AL and the only team in MLB with a worse record is the team that just beat you.

Again, zero improvement after firing manager.

The Sox are bottom dwellers just like other peers such as the Giants and Mets. It's NOT (only) a money issue. Their issues go way deeper. And it unfortunately goes deeper than replacing Breslow. But it's a start. They need completely revamp their clubhouse and front office philosophy and handling of people and employees. Seeing and hearing Breslow (and Bloom before that), I think that would come a long way. You need people to like working for you and like coming to work every day.

The Sox madee such a huge mistake by releasing Dombrowski it cannot be emphazied enough. They need to look at the market and make promises to highly decorated front office personalities and get back to doing what they used to be. Maybe Theo wants to come back in a more prominent role.

What is taking them so long letting Breslow go? Why did they pull the trigger on Cora so early and easily? I mean, Henry seems to be a bit of a weirdo himself and he has all these yes-sayers around him, but isn't there someone left who can argue some sense into him?

It's truly shocking that they are just laying down and accepting their fate in a season possibly ending worse and more disappointing than 2011, 2012 and even 2020. It is truly mind-boggling.

We were told for months and years that Cora and a frigging hitting coach were the roots of their problems and holding them back. So as you can expect I am shockingly disappointed by reality now showing us otherwise.
They sucked too.

But this shit just proves its an organizational issue. From top to bottom

Just pay for some proven talent. Pitching is ok but they need a Manny and Ortiz. Alonso gets bashed but RH bat and has 18HRs
