Boston Bruins 2026 Offseason Roster & Salary Cap VII

  • If you are having issues logging in, we have found opening the log in page in a new tab/window rather than using the pop out should resolve these issues. We are working to get this resolved and thank you for patience.
  • Due to the increased volume of league transactions, the Trade Rumors and Free Agent Talk section is temporarily restricted to where threads may only be started by moderators and sponsors. We anticipate that this restriction will be lifted some time after the first round of the draft.
Now tuch is gone so we are running it back aren't we? Let's go Essimont!
If he’s running it back he needs to sign Arvidsson & not trade Zacha

Also, Brunet is definitely on this team which makes me wonder about Lohrei

Marco was behind Spott & Mcilvane hiring and Leach leaving

Relax guy ~ have fun with this. Let’s see where we are July 4th

That too.
All I'm asking for is to show a plan. Have a plan. Plan for something. Don't sit there and negotiate with players that are ok or shouldn't be on the team next year. At least six players should and could be moved but instead he's just hanging out. I hope he makes us all eat crow tomorrow and next Wednesday but not feeling good about it. Extending fn Peeke should get him fired

Running it back is a big, big, BIG mistake.

Now Washington is gonna roast us with that lineup the east is an arms race now. I'm gonna watch rerun of 2011 Stanley Cup tonight

You think? Not a last incentive laden 1yr cup or bust deal?
Tuch isn’t on there yet

Check this out ???

Pretty good but it kind of gives me vibe he’s gone

No Backstrom or Carlson

I’m going to guess he’s done

But the Bruins should also view this as a marathon not a sprint, not just a near term arms race. I see little hope of bringing the Bruins forward group up to the level of Florida, Washington, Carolina, maybe Montreal, not for 2026-27.

Instead, build for the long term. Several of the top teams are sitting on rosters that will be pretty old in 3-4 years. Be the team that is coming on strong with players in their 20's. That doesn't mean to become "sellers" or to tank right now. But it does mean do not cash in your good prospects and valuable picks in an ill advised bid to win-now. Marathon.

Or so says The Beyonder.

Wanna sell instead Shep? Donny got orders to get wildcard 2 and play cats for 2 home games here.
Honestly, yeah. Selling might be the play here. Extending players in hopes to sneak into the playoffs to get bounced in 4 games isn't the play.

Out: Zacha, Lohrei, Middlestadt, Korpisalo, Peeke, etc.

Yes as many picks and prospects you can wait 5 years minimum let the cats do their thing and when you play them wear extra protection in those helmets.

I don’t think they are just answering Don GF

I think Arvidsson probably gone

After that Pc I think Lohrei is traded

I think Korpi traded

Zacha going to get 8/72 at this point if not more

What even is the plan at this point? Hope and pray two of Hagens, Minten, Dean, Zellers and Brunet are HOF'ers i guess.
Don’t forget Poitras. Apparently hes still somehow a highly regarded prospect. Also, Lukas Reichel is better and more highly thought of than Hagens.
We definitely can’t part with any of these great “prospects” (snicker) while other teams are aggressively improving their rosters by going after legit players.

I know that is the cynical fan narrative but it's not the actual marching orders from above.

Because guess what. You know what they'd like more than revenue from 2 playoff games? The revenue from all the playoff games. 4 seven game series is the ideal. Max ticket, TV ads, concessions, and merch revenue.

Now, something seems to get jumbled with the execution because management is not delivering that max playoff revenue for ownership and gets to just keep going at it year after year. There's that. But I don't believe for a second that ownership does not care, especially when they spend close to the cap every year. You can question whether they enforce accountability, but that's a different topic.
