Boston Bruins 2026 Offseason Roster & Salary Cap VII

  • If you are having issues logging in, we have found opening the log in page in a new tab/window rather than using the pop out should resolve these issues. We are working to get this resolved and thank you for patience.
  • Due to the increased volume of league transactions, the Trade Rumors and Free Agent Talk section is temporarily restricted to where threads may only be started by moderators and sponsors. We anticipate that this restriction will be lifted some time after the first round of the draft.
I feel like when we (myself included) reach maximum freak out levels at Sweeney, and it happens every year, he does something to make us peasants lower our pitchforks. That's why he's still GM.

Guys this time next year some 25 goal scorer is going to get nearly 9 million. And you will feel much less stress about Elias Lindholm.

The only decent deals in ufa are the bpa which is drastically overpaid and cleaning up the scraps after the silly money is spent.

Deals like Tuch’s get signed today. Teams trade the future away for Bowen Bryam and Jordan Greenway on days like this. No thanks.

I’d rather have a methodical GM but gee it probably would be better if he could act more Neuro Typical for you all. I mean not everybody is made for the media. Though with that said I don’t have a problem with his job on that front either.
Right now Sabres are on the right path and we aren't Jarmo is slamming grand slams Byram for a 4th overall and somehow gets a 3rd round pick for a walking free agent that's nifty work. Donny is still evaluating.

So you don't think he's going to qualify Lysell? :sarcasm:

I’m going
99.9 % Andersson signs Vegas (I put Calgary by mistake yesterday) Emily Kaplin reported a handshake deal was the strong rumor

Arvidsson probably has to decide Bruins 4 years (I know I know you guys hate it) and a 5 year offer

Peeke - I don’t dislike him but I’d rather go with RD Billy Sweezy on his one year deal - he is tough blocks shots etc

Giving Peeke even the 3/9 blah

Play Joker with Zadarov

Keep Lohrei RD

Work in Brunet
There is a strong rumor that Vegas is trading Hertl. Thus you are probably right about Andersson. You are probably right about Arvy too, but my guess is the Bruins are offering 3 years and Tampa, or team X, are offering 4. Either way, this strategy is just unaccepable.

Don, you're probably on your 200th player the Bruins should get in the last week, lol.
I didn't know he was available. I want young kids through the lineup draft develop. I wanna be the sharks for a few years . Hagens Leternaeu Minten are solid future pieces surround them with more. Build build wait and patience let the fans know this rebuild will take time but this is the right path. That's how I would run the bruins right now. I maybe wrong but that's how I feel especially with poor pasta age 30 saying he wants to win a cup. We gotta do something for him either help him or send him away.

Like maybe we don’t get Arvidsson. At that point maybe we can do the same.

But in reality no one wants Arvy for 8 years. I don’t blame Donny for that.

Hertl has a 2 team list / Anaheim & San Jose

I think Bruins would do 3 ~ good call on Tampa
They have money and not a lot of F prospects close

Arvidsson would be a nice fit on Tampa

Add him & Carlson they will be ready to be very good

Bro it took them DECADES

step 1: be bad forever (and ever) and get all the top 5 picks

Sabres were bad for decades because they are an undesirable city and were poorly run.

What about SJ, Anaheim, MTL? And Chicago has been rebuilding for like 4 years or something, hardly being bad forever

You want to use Montreal? Cupless since '93? Dude that franchise was HOPELESS till a few very good draft hits. Like a decade of useless. And even still, I don't think a Caufield/Suzuki shrimp team is going to get it done.

San Jose binks multiple high lottos. That's not that complicated. But they were bad for a long stretch there. Hitting the generational player doesn't hurt either...And still they draft 2nd this year....

Chicago 4 years you say? Since their cup:

People on this site really want to revisit history their way. Does ANYONE want to do that above? Not me...

People need to be careful wishing for rebuilds that turn into 10 horrible years...

This post has alot to support it .That said, the Bruins would have been better off with a high draft pick this season over getting in and walked on in round 1.They gave is a decent showing though during a long cold winter.
