I have to say that I'm going to be pissed if management doesn't do something bold to shore up the team. Neely says they will be aggressive.
Just read Pagnotta saying the Bruins are still actively discussing extensions with Zacha and Peeke. Almost threw up in my mouth. Zacha I can live with but his value has never been higher, don't want to pay him 8 a year and sucks in the playoffs... Trade him. Peeke you have to be kidding me. If they sign ardvisson, peeke and Zacha it will be a tough go next year. I know it's early but man there are a lot of options popping up.

If Hagens becomes a bonafide number 1 and Minten becomes 2 we in contention.

Look at the moment Hagens is trying to start the season with the Bruins. I think at this point it is safe to say, if he starts with the Bruins it will be at LW.

I as much as any Bruin fan hopes he can be a solid player for the Bruins. However that is to high of an expectation to put on him .

I read so many posts like this on here, about Lysell one year after his draft . Now I think most realistic fans however many years later would be happy if he could be traded for a 3rd round draft pick.

My whole point is Hagens has a lot of growing before he should ever be considered as a first line center. We as Bruin fans sure hope it happens . Give him a chance to grow as player before we put unfair expectations on him.

Yes we’ve seen a handful of players already this offseason request trades and give their destinations.

Most notably Dylan Larkin. The team president said they are looking for a #1 center in May and we didn’t make his list. So Larkin clearly doesn’t view this team as a contender.

Also I’ve been talking both free agency and trade the whole time. Hence why I’ve been adding the Hampus Lindholm trade to my discussions

Sweeneys biggest moves aren’t even close to the level of Chiarelli

They treated players better in negotiations, behind the scenes, and started spending money. Bruins are in a much better spot league wise than they were in 2006, it's not even debatable.

You got Minten and Hagens coming in as 2-3 centers. Hagens may start at LW (Mittlestadt can centre line 2 to start). Lindholm moves to #3 RW. Poitras starts between the bash boys on line 4.

Owen Tippett for #2 RW (Zacha + trade)?

Just need a #1 center and RS defence.

I like this lineup. I'd keep Aspirot w/ Mac to push the depth down. He's only gonna be 27 so he may have an extra gear / could've picked up a few things from Charlie. Hampus with Andersson would be a good Swedish shutdown and shooter pair. And Zaddy has been good with Joki. I'd rotate Joki with Brunet.

I don't know much about Tippett. Would rather have Knies + EP40.

I'm weirdly ok with Middelstadt as 2C. Worst case you can put Elias' bum ass there. Though I'd rather see Minten as the 2C.

I posted this idea not long ago but still find it intriguing. Misa would be stellar because you could officially sell Zacha too. You can sell back to 4-7 for Reid/Verhoeff and potentially have them playing in Boston this spring…
