Perfetti just never got quite fast enough or strong enough to be a star. His best years are probably the next 5 seasons - so no point trading him now.

He's still got some runway. Approaching that age where there is only a little bit more to really improve on before he hits his peak. I think with the right center he could be a 25/35/60 kind of guy at his peak.

Yeah, let's get a full season of health and some good linemates with him. He has always been a smart, engaged player with great vision, he just needs guys who think with his head speed imo. I've seen many passes for easy goals come off his stick that just skip past linemates sticks who just weren't ready.

Pretty unlikely that both fall though. More likely neither.

I can see having to choose between Bjorck and Rudolph though. I agree it would be disappointing if we passed on Bjorck. Size is the only real mark against him and he seems to handle that quite well. He is probably the most dynamic player in this draft after McKenna. And though McKenna is a couple of inches taller Bjorck is 10+ lbs heavier. Bjorck is likely a real difference maker, whether he plays C or W.

I don’t see it as a slam dunk if one of the top RHD are still available. If the Jets think the player is a future top pairing RHD, those are almost as rare as true #1 centers.

True.
I am looking at Bjorck as being more dynamic, more of a difference maker. But we haven't had a True 1RHD since Trouba and Buff left. Tough decision. But good problem to have.

I thought that would have been fairly obvious after dreger laid out on a platter what the jets were looking for in a trade lol

I think that was always a pipe dream bc Lundell & 9th OA was unrealistic and DD made it clear Chevy wants roster players for a HElle trade, not big futures.

True but the price was obviously not a pipe dream - 3 1sts and a second for tkachuk is a lot

I actually wouldn’t be surprised at all if someone mentioned that Florida had offered this package for Helle and Chevy balked… and Brady thought… hmm….

You’d have to take those picks. But I also don’t think either would be offered for Helle.
