I’d like to see the Jets draft a C or RD and be at least 6’2”, unless McKenna’s available. I think the Jets need more size in their prospect pool. Verhoeff or Piiparinen would be great for RD. Someone like Suvanto or Roobroeck at C.

Agreed - if we can't turn the season around and end up winning the lottery Verhoeff would be a huge building block.

Otherwise like you said grabbing a C with some size & tools we can try to develop into a Scheifele replacement could be a worthwhile project.

You haven't had enough Finns yet? Those 2 are ranked a long way behind Verhoeff and Roobroeck. We could make the PO and pick them.

True enough but i think the kid has a real good chance of being a centre in the NHL

I personally think he is going to be a creative, play driving winger if he hits his ceiling at the NHL level.

Not a direct comparison by any means -- but think in the ilk of a Kucherov/Kane type who can tilt the ice and open up space for others or take his own chances.

Those guys are extremely rare and valuable.

Draft BPA regardless of position, but always lean towards the center if guys are close in your ranking. Wanna see more out of McKenna, very interested in the juniors this year since he'll have something to prove.

barron no, stanley likely no, but if the standings remain the same and stanley keeps shooting at 15% some gm may see the goals and 6'7 and do something very stupid

Don't assume a top 5 pick will save us. A certain percentage bust. Sorry for the reality check

You forgot Juolevi (#5 Vancouver), who was a bust. Amazing how Tkachuk is the best player in that draft, in spite of 5 teams passing over him.
