The Habs has $6,175M in QO for their RFA

With that in mind, the Habs still has $9M to play in the UFA or for trade.
That's not a whole lot but there's still Monty's and his 3.1M (minus Fowler) that can give us another $2.1M at best.

The other contract I think we can drop is Josh Anderson at 5.5M......if it's for a big fish.

Maybe he’s better than Kapanen/ Newhook/ Evans, but there’s also a world where he’s not. For me it all depends on the assets needed to acquire him.

People need to get used to these new salaries. But Hischier offers a lot more than just points. Excellent defensively and if I'm not mistaken, the best face-off man in the league.

Philadelphia's buyout of Ilya Bryzgalov also ends today. It was a compliance buyout so no cap, but they've been paying him $1.65m on July 1st every year since 2013. That's sweet for Bryz.

DiPietro's with NYI doesn't end until 2029, I believe.
