McKenna at least had a decent career for that era of Canadian soccer. He wasn't part of Unattached DC.
I had hope back then, after how they played at the 07 Gold Cup, with that midfield of Hutchinson, De Guzman, Bernier, prime De Rosario and the surprisingly efficient Ali Gerba. Lol we were so far.

I'm happy it wasn't. On the pitch, yes, it would be very good to have that match. But off the pitch, all we would have heard about are the fans, and especially where loyalties did or should lie. Do you support the country of your parents/family, or the one you're actually born and raised in. What's the stadium going to look like? Red or blue? All that stupidity.
We haven't heard any of that. Its been all about Canada and Canadian fans, outside of the one stupid tweet from the Bosnian embassy).

This is what sucks when you dont have depth of the elite teams..... you are at the mercy of how fit your starting players are.
Davies and bombito are two Canada's pillars, but just not fit at the wrong time.

Especially when we are mostly a hockey nation, and you see a guy who gets a f***ing slapshot in the face, and plays the next game....
But at one point, you have to think they are doing it 'cause ther refs only act if that happens. And there's no faking penalties....or if there are, they are not used.
