Would #9 for McT appease anyone? I would think Verbeek wants assets that can help us win now.
I’d be so down for that.

I know this team is in the beginning of their window to win, but getting the chance to draft an impact defenseman (whoever of Verhoff/Smits/Rudolph is there at 9) that’ll be in his 20s when the core is off and running is really appealing. Plus you clear $7M to use elsewhere.

My dad hates MacT so much, that he says simply clearing MacT salary is a win. Lol

Kind of crazy how different the drafting philosophy has been on these top picks between PV and BM, especially considering how its pretty much the same scouting team. Verbeek didn't hastily rid of the previous regimes picks either, he gave them good solid looks.

The beekers got big big plans for the ducks roster.

I'd like Pinto, right handed two way C with size and speed. He's 3C for them behind Stutzle and Cozens but could be an ideal 2C for us. McT is a bit younger and has shown a bit more scoring upside, Pinto is more suited to our MO.
I’ve always liked pinto.

Some players that interest me from Ottawa:
-Pinto (he very well might not be available, but he would be ideal)
-Batherson (very skilled offensive player, but only 1 year left before a big payday)
-Zetterlund
-Spence (RFA)
-Zub (will be 31 and only has 1 year left on his deal)
-Yakemchuk (doubt he would be on the table)

Not really that interested in Greig. Maybe if we didn't have Poehling I could be on board.

Zub averaged 20:40 of ice time last season and played the entire season. He’s absolutely a Verbeek player. Size and reliable defensive play to boot. Might be a great partner for Beevis… Zub+ Grieg check a lot of boxes. McQueen is the 1b/2c we wished MacT was going to be for us. Zub and grieg fill needs now. Wouldnt be surprised if the beeker would only trade for Zub with an extension in place too.
