What should the Hawks do next season?

I agree. He is someone who stood out to me as well. Bjorkstrand too. They would definitely have to move out a vet or two. Don't want to emulate what Detroit did with getting a bunch of mediocre vets limiting playing time for young players.
Always been a fan of Bjorkstrand. Gets a right shooting wing for the team also

Spec sumner up for trade excitementcasvitcapoears Dylan Larkin and Matt Barzal want to be traded ofc their current teams...but I cannot see Larkin wanting to join Hawks chase a Cuo ....cannot see KD making a deal with Detroit if the pkayer would not want to join basenentvteam like the Hawks who have not proven anything yet.

As to Barzal he is 1 uear younger than Lakin (Barzal turns is 29 for this 26_27 season and Larkin is goibg ro be 39 forcthe26/27 seasob)...

Howber Barzal has a nodofiedcno trade clause via a kistcofc22 teams hecwoukd not go to...If Chicago on that liston restriction for trades, then that is bo go unless he waives restrictions on Hawks as a trade destination.

So do not get your hopes up..

Robertson-Bedard-Kantserov
Bertuzzi-Frondell-Lardis
Burkovsky-Moore-Teravainen
Donato-Greene-Mangiapane

Byram-Crevier
Kaiser-Levshunov
Vlasic-short term ufa

-4 OA on Reid
-Robertson for a deal around Nazar and Korchinski plus a package of picks and prospects to equate what Dallas gave up for Rantanen
-Rinzel (plus minor throw ins) for Byram

Based on what Davidson said yesterday, according to the CHGO pod, Davidson want to move some younger guys who didn’t look as expected to end last season and wants a veteran defenseman. Powers has been beating the drum on Davidson wanting a veteran puck moving LHD for weeks. I’m merely speculating (making shit up if you will) that it will be Rinzel out if Reid is drafted.

Nazar is the Robertson centerpiece because he’s a top six player on a good contract, has room to grow. He’s seemingly going to be a third liner for the hawks. An impact top line wing who plays 22 minutes a game is more valuable than a 3C playing 15 minutes a game imo. Seems like a good match. Again, my speculation (making shit up).
As a Stars fan I am not opposed to trading Robertson. We would have no interest in Korchinski though. It would have to be Rinzel or Levshunov. I’m not sold on Nazar but I have not seen him play much. He seems a lot like Bourque on the Stars but that is just me looking stat wise.

Just curious as I'm not saying I'm open to it. But if Chase Reid is available at 4, would he be more attractive to you than Levshunov or Rinzel? I see you're interested in a RHD.

I think this point is moot for this upcoming season. Reid is gonna play a year in college. That might be a question for 2-3yrs down the line.

Interesting insight, thank you for commenting! What else would you need around Rinzel or Levshunov to be happy with the deal?

I’m guessing next year’s first round picks aren’t too attractive unless they’re used to flip for other nhl players.

I think the Stars would need someone to help on the defensive side now rather than a couple years.

I would assume picks and or a young g forward to contribute now with upside. My hope would be if they trade Robertson they end up with a Young RHD and a young forward. That will help offset the loss of scoring from Robertson.

I would trade Vlasic in a Dallas deal for Robertson. Plus some futures/prospects

Take Reid. Give Korch a full year to decide.

Sign a short term LHD vet.

Vet Rinzel/lev
Kaiser Rinzel/Lev
Korchinski crevier

Robertson bedard Kantserov
Bertuzzi Frondell Moore
Lardis Nazar Teuvo

65 UFAs projected by AFP Analytics to command a $2 million or higher AAV.

Any predictions for Hawks?

None. Just a couple plugs to fill out Rockford/pressbox. Any real roster moves will be done via trade.

Not if we want Jason Robertson now and they want a right handed defenseman in return

Alex Tuck aplenty going to free agency ...rTger pay him Nd draft Charles or Reid if SJ chooses Stenbetg..ifvtheu chose Reid and Van takes Stenb

erg..then Carelsvor Malhotra ..

I just tbin k we should draft a too d or the top Crnter and get the LW I free agency or trade...

It is always harder to get a top D or a top C than a winger via free agency or via the draft...and especially a risk to draft the winger is under 6 feet and just a bit above average in separation speed as 2 not ideal attributes despite many other attractive attributes.

Let Stenberg go to the bright lights of NYR where he probaly never reaches the heights his admirers are the thinking he will achieve..

If Hawks get Tuchman via free agency it costs no draft capital just $$$$ and it woukdvorovide probably 200 goalsvover next 5 seasons pkayong woth Brdard Nd Kamtserob but providing the Bog size they need on LW ibstead of another smallish candidate .
I woukd ratger draft apur LD need and sign our LwNeed to set for next 5 seasons.. Sire last 2 years of ac7 year deal could be iffy ..but we cN always do buy outs ..just gove hom onlyca 5 year MTV ..leave lastc2 seasons favouri by the Hawks to deal with aging.
Yup..use the $$$ we have ...pay Tich ...LW for Brdsy solved.

Do not make line 1 too small.Stenberg too small for what we already have there id a small duo.Nedcthe big strong guy.
