I’ve known Dave Cameron for most of my life. He’s as nice of a guy as you’d ever want to meet, and a class individual. When my old man was recovering from his stroke, Dave had heard about it (he’d been coaching away and came home for the summer), his second day back, he came by the house to visit him and wish him well, and spent the afternoon visiting.

He’s a No BS, straight shooter, who has never forgotten where he came from or what his roots are. He’s about the furthest thing from “a clown” as you’ll ever meet.
But how good of a coach is he?

Leafs fans on full conspiracy mode that people are shitting on Cowan because he’s a Leafs prospect. Shut up you bums you’ve been hyping him as the next big thing for a while and here he is now can’t even get it done against Latvia.
He's very skilled but does seem like he's a bit of a........ :)

I'm sure he's a nice guy but he's not the right coach for the team, and his decisions tonight (and leading up to tonight) have demonstrated that
I don’t remember saying that he was, I’ve never written a thing about the man until the king of the 4-6 word posts called him a “clown”.

Personally, I don’t care for the mix of the team. I don’t feel Canada’s best are truly represented here, but I’m not sure how much input Cameron has on who gets invited to camp and who doesn’t… I also think that a lot of our grit and identity has been removed by Hockey Canada, and by economic factors (which I alluded to in a previous post, long before the game was lost). I don’t put this loss solely on Cameron, the players didn’t produce at all either and had all the opportunities. There’s plenty of blame to be shared.

Most low quality, undeflected from the outside. Sure, statistically some should have gotten lucky and gone in but they were not good chances we were getting.
It was a miracle on ice. At one point in the 3rd, Canada had taken 22 of the last 23 shots in the game. They simply got robbed by a hot goalie who stood on his head.

The panicking is ridiculous. It often takes Canada a few games to begin firing on all cylinders.

Adversity can be a good thing in the round robin. How many times has Canada just slept walked past these games then fallen apart in the elimination games. Hopefully they take something from this.

Exactly. And how many times have Sweden run the tables in the round robin unscathed only to disappoint in the elimination games?
