That's not balanced enough and doesn't fit how Xabi has played with Bayer. He's had 5 defensive players to balance the wingbacks + front 3...with Palacios being the most attacking option for any of those spots.

That's why I'm thinking it would be a 4-3-3 with all 3 of your combative midfielders, if not the 3-4-3 that Leverkusen has predominantly played.
I do not think Xabi is coming. Ancelotti will remain unless he has a very shitty second half.

Liga is up for grabs and we are not out of the CL. What happens in the next 3-4 months will determine Carlo's faith.

LFC turn down money for Trent

LFC not willing to let Trent leave in middle of title race (understandable) and will risk him going in a free.

They better win it

I don't understand what Liverpool are doing. TAA, VVD and Salah with 6 months left on their contract. Why haven't they be re-signed?

My guess is that if Olmo really signs with another team, the club is getting sold, can't recover from that financially. It's like 300M+ in costs.

Better you stick with him. Madrid would pay you peanuts anyways

Barca would get sold?

Your club is run by crooks. That's as simple as that.
What club isn’t tho? Ours are just incompetent

Actually it feels like the inevitable outcome since Bartomeu ran us to the ground. Selling the club to some Saudi or US owner and stop being owned by fans.

Super controversial topic a lot of people are not ready at all to talk about it but there's way too much debt and, as we can see how Olmo has been handled, it's getting worse if anything

Yeah I mean they were going to give us like 20m this January. Which probably doesn’t even get a good backup for Conor Bradley, let alone help replace Trent. And I get it - if I was Madrid I’d be doing the same thing.

Not condoning any of it but this is how we got here: It’s not so much what Liverpool are doing right now because This should have been taken care of last year. but last year we have no sporting director so there was no one to negotiate the extensions. Now we had that guy Schmadke in an interim/temporary role and they should have just let him do it; but for whatever reason they didn’t. Then of course the Klopp news came in and that took everyone’s even more off the ball.

But from a players perspective, I’m not sure I would have re-signed with LFC at that point either. Last season they were in Europa League and you had no idea who the next manager/sporting director were going to be. There was a lot of flux going on at the club; so especially a guy like Trent who would likely want a longer term extension than the other two, that’s a tough decision if there’s a lot of uncertainty. And honestly if I was him and I’d be at the same club my entire career, yeah I’d probably want to go to Madrid too.

But either way I can’t fault the players for the bad timing on all of this, and I can’t fault them for not extending without knowing what it would be like after Klopp. Trent especially has only had Klopp as a club manager until now. Of course now they’ve seen things after Klopp aren’t so bad, but the responsibility is on FSG to find the right deals ; especially because they likely can’t match the salary that Madrid will offer Trent unless Trent becomes their top earner, which of course may complicate the Salah and Virgil extensions. So yeah it’s messy

PSG is said to have offered Salah a 3-year deal with a 500 000 € per week salary, so a longer term and higher salary than Liverpool's offer.
Says who?

Not saying it hasn’t happened, but haven’t seen this reported anywhere. If this was real this probably would have been picked up on like the Trent offer was yesterday
