We are consistently being lied to, how can a player be registered for half the year. Honestly wouldn’t surprise me if they faked the Christensen injury to get Olmo registered. Combine this with the Nike deal that Barca signed weekly for a year nothing makes sense
Short term loan ? :)

To maximize everybody, I was thinking of something along those lines:

Vini ---Mbappé --- Rodrygo
-----------Jude----------------
----Camavinga - Valverde------
Davies----------------------TAA
---------Rudiger-Militao-------

Basically a 4-3-3 with Camavinga as a 6 and Valverde as a 8 who has to cover A LOT of ground. If TAA and Davies pull their weight defensively, it could work. Anyway, that team better score 3 a game

That's not balanced enough and doesn't fit how Xabi has played with Bayer. He's had 5 defensive players to balance the wingbacks + front 3...with Palacios being the most attacking option for any of those spots.

That's why I'm thinking it would be a 4-3-3 with all 3 of your combative midfielders, if not the 3-4-3 that Leverkusen has predominantly played.

LFC turn down money for Trent

LFC not willing to let Trent leave in middle of title race (understandable) and will risk him going in a free.

They better win it

I think this is very bad. Just sell him now.
I think LFC should take the money and get a decent LB/CB.
I think LFC can still win it without Trent. That being said the better use that money on a new player now. The depth at defense is already so thin.

With Bensebaini finally getting his head out of his ass, Kabar having impressed enough to make the senior team, and Rothe likely to eventually get bought back from us given how well he's playing; not sure BVB sees LB as a big building site.

I'd take the money and go after another CB.
You are probably right. Malen has reportedly wanted out for a good while so I really hope they cash in on him now.

No. There’s a League Title to be won. I’d rather win the League and lose Trent on a free than mess up our squad during a title run. Maybe if Bradley was fit it would be different, but I’m not sacrificing one of our best players during a title run. Absolutely not.

That being said, they better f’n win PL and/or UCL if they are taking this stance. If that’s Trent’s parting gift so be it.

I am not sure about, I think that keeping him around is a huge distraction especially for a title run. If it start going bad the supporter will unleash the frustration at him even more.

This is the guy that made the claim a year ago that winning for LFC means more and then now he is willing to leave when LFC are most likely the top side in Europe, that say everything about him, his ego and just simply being really hypocrite. He has chosen is path obviously you need to get new player now to finish the push. As I have said even with TAA staying they should still recruit a defender.

As for Conor Bradley, he is very good and thank god we have him at this moment.

If it hasn’t been a distraction so far, it’s not going to be a distraction now. Until Trent says “I want to leave” it’s not a distraction. And again, Conor Bradley is not fit. Joe Gomez is not fit. They CANNOT consider selling Trent right now. The league is not wrapped up yet and there is no cover.

What starting caliber RB are you getting in January to fill in? You are going to have to replace Trent’s play making too. He’s our best chance creator and we don’t create a ton of chances. Selling him now puts the season at bigger risk than not selling him.

I mean, if he seems to imply he will sulk, then yes, they should sell him.
1. He hasn’t done this.

2. Neither Conor Bradley nor Joe Gomez are fit. What is your solution at RB ? Who has an extra PL winning/UCL winning caliber RB to spare in January If we are having to look external

If LFC wasn’t favorites for major silverware/if internal solutions were fit that’s the only way they could consider this

It’s not even January, we don’t know a lot on a lot of those issues. He hasn’t to this point.

If he goes to the club and says, look, I’m set on going, here’s a solution for both of us, you to get a fee and me to move to where I want, the club will facilitate it.

You’re also pretty naive if you think Madrid would approach Liverpool or even make rumblings about it if the player wasn’t good with it. If Bradley is fit or they think they can get in a decent backup, I would probably do it end of the month.

And leave themselves without a right back?

Again, who are they bringing in, in January, if Trent goes

If Trent cares about his legacy he won’t sulk. He’ll he forgiven if he leaves with a league title. He won’t be forgiven if he sulks

If Bradley is fit, there’s a lot of decent backup players they could get. I’m 100% certain they have someone lined up for the summer anyhow because he’s going now or then.
Bradley is not fit though I doubt we see him or Gomez before Valentine’s Day.

Again, who is this mystery player? Because they’d have to move that up. Not a single RB name has been linked. And if Trent goes you have to get another chance creator too

Don't get your hope up about them leaking the name they are interested in (rightfully so after the Zubimendi debacle).

I have zero doubt they have shortlist of alternative and have plan if TAA does not stay beyond this year.

You talk like if Gomez or Bradley are done for the year. Obviously LFC do not let him go without a player ready to join either by transfer or loan.

I understand that but it’s been literal crickets at RB. We’ve heard names at other positions. Everyone knows we want Kerkez or Davies for LB. Nothing at RB.

Honestly not even trying to be a jerk - I don’t even know where else they’d look. I mean it’ll be Bradley long term but…

These are still long/long-ish term injuries with no time table. The players we’ve gotten back from injury have all gotten re-injured/are not at full speed/have taken time to get reintegrated. It’s not as simple as just giving Bradley the keys right now. He isn’t fit.

If we weren’t favorites for major silverware it would be different, but they can’t jeopardize their title runs
