yep we are gonna mess up the market lolSo here’s the thing right - let’s say Madrid let Alaba walk (or he stays/whatever), and Madrid just give Trent the Alaba contract. That shatters LFC’s wage structure. And (rightfully or wrongfully) is just a ton of money for a right back. So it’s pretty easy for Madrid and pretty tough for LFC; and that’s a pretty plausible scenario. It’s very awkward. If Trent wants to go, it’s hard to fault him - my only wish is that this is resolved asap and doesn’t drag.
Oh know I didn’t mean it like that. Like this isn’t Chelsea giving away six figure a week long term deals. Just saying Madrid has the salary infrastructure to accommodate a contract like that. LFC don’t.yep we are gonna mess up the market lol
Konate is probably back before long. Quansah needs match time. Endo can play there (shit Gravenberch looked good during the Newcastle match). If there’s a deal to do it, sure but I don’t think they’re in the market for one come summer, so they won’t do it now. Their winter moves are usually players they anticipate buying in the summer who come available now and they push it up. If they’re not in for a defender, likely not here now. Maybe a left backGomez did his hamstring today. LFC probably should get a CB in January. they probably won’t but they certainly should

Konate (thanks Endrick) will be back in January, but we are seeing now it’s a big risk to bank on Konate and Gomez staying healthy. Quansah will be fine, but it’s just them. This is a mistake we’ve made in the past, and would prefer not to again.Konate is probably back before long. Quansah needs match time.
Gravenberch being at CB means he isn’t in midfield. This is bad. Endo being at CB means no one is covering Gravenberch. This is also bad. We pay Hughes and friends to find deals that they can do. This is something that can sink us.Endo can play there (shit Gravenberch looked good during the Newcastle match). Left back I think happens in the summer. We can get away with Tsimikas and Robertson. We can’t get away with Amara Nallo. I keep saying this but in 2022 Arsenal was ahead of schedule on their rebuild and they bought three guys. Some of LFC’s Best Buy’s have been in January. I can’t pretend that the January window is that hard to do deals in. It isn’t.Their winter moves are usually players they anticipate buying in the summer who come available now and they push it up. your relentless urge to bring Chelsea into everything continuously smashes up against your lack of knowledge of how Chelsea have conducted businessOh know I didn’t mean it like that. I get what you’re saying. I just think they don’t rush a central defender. Especially until they know about Gomez. He was fit last season. At some point buying one makes some sense, especially with the club probably willing to see Gomez go, but I don’t know whether they see the point in buying one to sit the bench in all likelihood. If that was the case the young Dutch kid they sold would be here doing that. He was good enough to be 5th and sit. That’s the likely fortune of anyone they buy. So if they’re not buying a bang on starter as the club sees Konate as rightly the choice for 25-30+ matches, as with his country time he was on 37 last season. Sure, 24 before, but 29 when he wasn’t even the clear starter when he arrived. I get it’s probably a need, but they likely see it as a 4th-5th choice, and I don’t know if it makes much of a difference to go get that now.Konate (thanks Endrick) will be back in January, but we are seeing now it’s a big risk to bank on Konate and Gomez staying healthy. What did I say that was wrong here? Chelsea absolutely have impacted the market but giving inflated contracts out. That’s not even a controversial statement. You are the one with the urge to bring yourself into this. I’m talking about wage structure. Chelsea have no wage structure. Which, again, is not a lie. Chelsea will give a guy a six figure p/w wage to not play him and just take him off the market.your relentless urge to bring Chelsea into everything continuously smashes up against your lack of knowledge of how Chelsea have conducted business
At this point, if you are in the front office, you have to ask yourself, “What can sink this season” relying on two injury prone CBs (both of which are currently injured) with nothing behind them is one of Liverpool’s ‘Lose Conditions’ they have to protect that. You assembled this all star front office. That’s what you are paying them for; to find someone that will fit the bid. Whether that’s finding a young guy willing to learn, or finding a utility guy to cover a couple spots, or telling Joel Matip to get out off the couch, they need to do something to get another body in there. If you want to get another midfielder and use Endo as cover, they can do that too, but they can’t have another nothing window.I get what you’re saying. I just think they don’t rush a central defender. Especially until they know about Gomez. He was fit last season. Still too soon. But he’s been great for boca young age
That's actually some nice business for United.Yes, although there’s a club option to extend another year if he hasn’t signed a longer extension (which he likely will)
CB signings and a GK and you guys will be fighting for the title next year, imo. Your midfield and forwards are set.Maresca is apparently unhappy with the CBs we have.
Tosin and Badiashile are really inconsistent and likely just backup players. Fofana is perpetually injured. Disasi has been bad and the pass maps don't show anywhere close to what Maresca wants from his CBs, also rumors of him being sold.
Chelsea's business at CB has been the worst of all really.
Pretty excited to see what they have in Ancheampong and Anselmino.Sticking a teenager who doesn’t even know the language While trying to make top 4 isn’t a genius idea tho.
Papers here saying Alexander Arnold to Madrid is done for next season on a free
And same for Jonathan Tah and FCB
Fans of every other club in Europe should pray that Madrid decide they can go forward with a fullback duo of Trent and Phonzie, LOL
Camavinga will need to run a marathon every game
Can we do a straight swap with Maatsen? He's barely playing at Villa so they might as well give him back.- while Aston Villa are favorites for Donyell Malen

To maximize everybody, I was thinking of something along those lines:You'll need to reinforce/bolster the back 3, but if anyone's got the options for the double pivot to make those two wingbacks work, it's probably a team with Cama, Tchou, and Valverde.
Although maybe Xabi's adjustment to your roster will be playing all 3 of them together with just 2 CBs to cover for the 5 attackers. Some iteration of:
Vini - Jude - Mbappewith one of the 6s dropping into the backline to create a makeshift back 3 + double-6, when in possession
Cama - Valverde - Tchou
Davies - Rüdiger - Militao - TAA
