First time we had considerable snow drifts all winter. We used to get this a dozen times in a winter. Now seems rare event. I'll take it. Didn't like the 3 foot snow drifts much in the driveway but only seems to happen about once a winter now. Still operating the old fashioned Snow shovel. Like the exercise.

The weather is snow, snow, periods of light snowsnow, snow, snow, periods of lighter snow, snow snow snow, snow.....

Its not about shoveling sidewalks today as much as finding where they are. lol Pretty good cumulative dump we're seeing. Least its not wet heavy snow we see at end of winter. This is some good skiing stuff for those of you that do that.

Today looks to be the last day of this cold snap, with very nice temps predicted for at least the next two weeks.
Man I feel for you folks. That has got to be one of the longest prolonged periods of -25 and worse temperatures on record. My daughters are here this week from Edmonton getting a short respite. My son in Saskatchewan is just grinding it out. He’s been crabby on the phone of late. He farms and hauls grain. It hasn’t been fun working in these conditions I’m sure.

Hasn't been that cold here, just a few days this month below -20, don't think the city has had even one day in 2025 that the high of the day was -25 or colder. Past few weeks in the -13 - 18 range, so will be nice to get back above zero. Overall has actually been a pretty decent winter, no where the extreme cold stretches we had last year.

City heat sink effect maybe . The temps in Fort Sask have been lower when I looked online. My son in Saskatchewan reported more than a few days that were below -35 in his neighborhood.

It’s 80Fhere right now. Sucking back a beer as we speak. All week supposed to be this hot, next week even hotter. Pretty early for those type of temps here. Gonna be a looooong summer for the PHX valley starting this early.

For sure it's colder in the outlying areas, it's been colder in our neck of the woods as well, but not too bad like it was last year. I used to love temps in the 80's, now I prefer something in the low 70's. Here's a link to Edmonton's Feb temps.
