GDT: 2025 U18's

I liked it at first, then NHL coaches figured out the tactic of holding onto the puck at all costs and having players retreat out of the attacking zone under pressure. Still some good ones, but it's hit and miss with more misses than hits to me.

Oh well, to each their own! :)
I've noti ced that too. 3 on 3 was almost always a goal early and end to end. Now it sometimes is a snoozefest

I don't think they should be able to re-enter their zone and I think there should be a shot clock.

I don't think I'd like a shot clock, but an over and back rule might work. Maybe something like deliberately carrying the puck back across the blue line is an instant stoppage resulting in a defensive zone faceoff, and add on not being able to make a line change similar to if you had iced the puck. Could work. Some subjectivity about whether they did it deliberately, though.

Congrats to the U.S. kids on the Bronze. Tough for the Slovak kids, who played super hard, would love to see them get a medal in one of these in the upcoming years.

Looking forward to the Gold Medal Game.

Whats funny is that our best birth year, 2004, played in the lower division, got promoted and ever since that Slovakia has been in the semis o_O:laugh:
Covid really f***ed over Slovakia. Or I guess their 01's. If only they had stayed up the 03's and 04's would have played in the top division.

I remember it was the Slafkovsky and Nemec Hlinka tournament that kickstarted it all since the Slovaks have been kicking Finlands butt junior level more often

They must have advertised free AC and left the door to the arena open today. Looks like a few people there today.
Villeneuve!
