GDT: 2025 U18's

Pretty impressive win considering Frondell was more or less invisible (like he has been in the previous games as well), Stenberg was so-so and Ihs Wozniak was a no-show as well.

Instead the second line with Björck shined and also the grinders on the fourth line had their best game of the tournament. Guess that's the strength with this team. When the top stars are not as good/successful as expected in a game, there are plenty of other skilled players that can step up and deliver.

Looking forward to the final!

Always great to see the guys who train together for two whole years just for this moment fall short. Surprisingly common.

The Bergs look like they are gonna be a real problem for the Canadian squad tomorrow. Hopefully they exhausted all their magic tonight.

TSN going on about how the US didn't have a high-level trigger man for this tournament and game in particular... I would say the lack of a high-end offensive defenseman was one of the issues as this game went on. No Hutsons, no Hughes's. Hell, not even a Cam York.

Sweden's lacking one as well, heck, Björck was made Sweden's PP1 PPQB (PP2 this tournament as Frondell arrived after the other unit crushed it) and Sweden's coach feeling smug about how good of a decision that was.

I know it's tradition for Swedish fans to savage the Swedish coaching, but it worked out for sure. Like, someone did the right thing for a change.
